We've been asked by the British Lung Foundation to find out about your views and experience of smoking.

It doesn't matter if you have never smoked, smoke now or have smoked in the past, the survey is open to all parents in the UK. This follows on from a previous survey in April.

All data is confidential. The British Lung Foundation does not want to make anyone feel guilty about smoking.

Everyone who completes the survey and adds their details at the end will be entered into a prize draw to win a £250 voucher for Cath Kidston.

Thanks and good luck

MNHQ

Done survey and done petition.

lal123 · 15/08/2010 20:52

Still no link to the evidence? I take it all of you who are adding support etc have seen it? So WHERE is it??

CupcakesHay · 15/08/2010 21:04

Not me - but my parents used to smoke in car when i was younger (it was the early 80s) - so I remember how horrid it was for me :(

lal123 · 15/08/2010 21:39

Sadfor you but then again just because you thought it was horrid isn't really a good argument for making it illegal?? My Grans carrots were horrid, but I don't think she should have been criminalised because of them??

AnnMumsnet · 16/08/2010 10:59

lal123 - the British Lung Foundation have forwarded me a link to a Royal College of Physicians report from March 2010 called 'Passive Smoking and Children'.
Best, Ann MNHQ

Done.

I wish they would also ban people from smoking in the street. Can't have our living room or bedroom windows open without the smell of tobacco wafting up (we live right in town). Oh, and the numptys that brush past you holding their cigarettes catching my clothing. And the litter from them.

Done.

My dad used to smoke in the car when I was wee, I hated it but what I hated most was how uncharacteristically angry he got whhen I asked him several times not to, or made a grumpy face about it.

:(

Fingers crossed the campaign gets a bit more airtime as I wasn't aware of it.
