We’re looking for Mumsnet users with babies between 0 - 9 months who suffer from colic to take part in a product test for BioGaia Protectis Baby Drops 5ml (RRP £14.99).

  • Selected testers will be sent the BioGaia Protectis Baby Drops and trial the probiotic drops for three weeks.
  • Testers will be asked to feed back via a thread on Mumsnet and a short survey.
  • All testers who leave their feedback will receive a £5 Amazon voucher.
  • All testers who leave their feedback will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 voucher for a store of their choice (from a list).

This seems dodgy to me.

  1. Colic is unexplained crying, not wind as it is often misunderstood to mean. A product using the wrong term doesn't exactly instil confidence.
  2. The NHS states that there is little evidence that probiotics help with colic. What evidence have the makers of this product provided to MN before they decided to market it?
