Is this only for new testers?

Tutoring for a 3 year old? Really?

I've just been informed they have pulled the trial.... we were booked in for a lesson this morning.

Also had the same message as @AgainstTheOddsNo2 Such a shame as my daughter really enjoyed her lesson.

Oh I'm kind of relieved I'm not the only one who got the message. It is a shame as we would have liked to continue...though the tutor is offering private tuition I'm not sure how much I should expect to pay!

I haven't had any communication to say it's been pulled. The first session was pretty rubbish so they offered to change the tutor for Friday's session, told me it was all booked for 5.30pm but never sent the meeting link or replied to my messages. @CeriMumsnet Might be worth e-mailing people to let them know in case anyone else wastes their time with this?!

That might explain why I've had no response to the message I sent about arranging my daughter's next session! (Session two was cancelled last week as the tutor was ill). Had no communication from AirClass or Mumsnet about the trial being cancelled.

My tutor was also "ill" and I'm not getting responses from anyone. Bit of a poor showing from AirClass!

@CeriMumsnet I’ve not had any reply to the msg sent on WhatsApp to AirClass, plus several people have left the group.
Please can you confirm if the trial has been stopped?

Not sure if there has been a feedback page set up as I couldn’t find one. I wanted to share my experience as it was not great.
we signed up for the 3 session trial - the emails and texts were very poorly written like someone had typed into google translate but not checked it made sense - not great when it’s a education/tutoring service. I had several texts and emails sent to me which were clearly intended for someone else as they had other peoples details on ( made me concerned about the security of my data too). The person doing the booking and setting up calls was sat in an open plan office and not using a head set so it was really difficult to hear her with everyone else talking. The first tutor we were given was a nice lady based in India but unfortunately her accent was so strong my daughter struggled to understand her so I had to keep translating ( please don’t take that a racist I am myself part Indian) straight after the session the admin person came on and started the hard sell telling me about special offers etc I explained it was too early to decide. Another session date was agreed and booked. I then received 3 different links for 3 different teachers I contacted several times to ask which one I was supposed to use. No response and at the allotted time tried them all but none worked. Sent several whats apps and emails. After 40mins get a call to say they have found another tutor - by this point it’s almost my daughters bed time. The new teacher was again nice and based in the UK - I was happy with the session it’s self and agreed a final trial session with this tutor. Again after the tutor left the call the admin appeared and started the hard sell - i told them that as it was now after 7pm I had to get my kids to bed so would prefer to discuss after the final trial. After a few days I get a message to say tutor is sick so agree another date but never got a link despite contacting several times, never had the final session and was deleted from the what’s app group so couldn’t contact them anymore.
The cost was pretty much the same as other on line tutors so Would not recommended them based on my experience.

@CeriMumsnet @mnhq I am presuming this product test as been cancelled as I have been deleted from the Airclass WhatsApp group. I have now been contacted directly by a tutor outside of the Airclass structure touting for business. I did not give my consent for my contact details to be used in this way.

The communication in this trial has been absolutely shocking, both from AirClass and from Mumsnet. I had a reply to an email sent directly to @CeriMumsnet which gave very little information but there have been no updates on this thread and no update emails sent from Mumsnet to the participants. Whilst this is very poor in any trial it is particularly unacceptable when you have recruited children to trial a product for you. Please can we have an update as to what has happened, and please can you ask Airclass not to use our contact details for purposes outside of the trial. Thank you.

This is the only follow up information I've had from Mumsnet sent on 3rd October after I e-mailed to see what was going on:

We're aware some testers have received a message from AirClass informing them that the test has been cancelled, and that some testers are still awaiting your initial phonecall from AirClass.
We are looking into this but don't have an update to share just yet. We'll be in touch as soon as possible once we have more information. In the meantime, if you're yet to start the testing journey, please hold off on starting until you hear from us again.
Really sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment this has caused.

I wouldn't be continuing with the trial in any case after one dreadful session and a lot of wasted time. Not what I expect from Mumsnet frankly. And I see that the AirClass adverts are still running on the Mumsnet site which is really annoying me! So, if anyone's reading this thread to see what they're like, my advice is not to go near them with a bargepole!

Yes I agree completely mumsnet should not be endorsing the company anymore

We had our first session booked and the tutor was really nice and engaging but after he left the admin tried to sign us up for twice weekly classes for a year. No mention of a second or third trial lesson. I feel sorry for the tutor and hope they were paid for their time. My daughter was shy but seemed to enjoy it and we were building on things she was learning at school (year 1 age 5) but I felt like I was a little ashamed that I subjected her to this when it seemed like just a hard sell right away. I'd really appreciate an update from mumsnet.
