Deputy Labour leader Harriet Harman MP will be joining us at MNHQ on Thursday 12 February between 12 midday and 1pm.

Harriet is Shadow Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, and Shadow Deputy Prime Minister. She was first elected as an MP aged 32 when she was 7 months pregnant, and her long-term campaigning interests include gender equality, better maternity pay and conditions, and women-only shortlists.

Come and chat to Harriet this Thursday at 12 midday, or post a question in advance on this thread if you can't make it on the day.

Thanks
MNHQ

short of screeching 'let them eat cake' on the evening news they couldn't be much clearer really could they?

TheHoneyBadger · 13/02/2015 12:18

excuse all the grammar and typing fails - i'm taking a quick break from working and have a sticky keyboard amongst other ishoos (feck you matthew wright).

i think part of the reason i feel i cannot vote is that by voting i'd be consenting to more of the same - i'd be giving them my mandate to carry on defrauding us and stealing and corrupting and abusing the disabled and allowing slave labour etc. at least by not voting they will not be doing it in my name.

blimey. how did we get to the point where voting would make you complicit with illegality and human rights abuse and fraud?

ihategeorgeosborne · 13/02/2015 12:30

'blimey. how did we get to the point where voting would make you complicit with illegality and human rights abuse and fraud?'

Since politicians, along with certain corporations, particularly financial institutions, became too big to fail Hmm

I'm pretty shocked at HH answers or lack if them. I have to say that my MP, male, conservative, 70+ has a Facebook account and includes everyone on there. He answers questions, gives opinions, explains why things aren't being achieved and when he doesn't know about a topic says so.

rollonthesummer · 16/02/2015 19:48

She didn't come back and answer any more questions then ...?!

LineRunner · 16/02/2015 20:16

No, apparently we're not worth it.

Sallyingforth · 16/02/2015 22:45

It would have been better for her if she hadn't come in the first place, so all the use here answers were.

But I'm still hoping that MNHQ might get some other Party reps to appear for questions.

TheHoneyBadger · 17/02/2015 12:02

or maybe to answer the questions here that haven't been answered? maybe we could put it out as a challenge as to who would like to answer the q's and who does take female voters seriously enough to bother.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 18/02/2015 11:57

My God, that was a pink bus car crash. I was especially incensed by the bit about Labour in Scotland - Jim Murphy, who has tweeted misrepresenting the NHS, or the idiots who tried to campaign outside a closed hospital.

BojanaMumsnet · 10/03/2015 17:40

Hi everyone,

Harriet will be on LBC this evening after 7pm, so if you'd like to ask her another question, please call 0345 60 60 973.

TiggyD · 10/03/2015 22:37

Nope. I'm shunning her. She's dead to me now.

Harriet who?
