On Friday 26th November between 1.30 and 2.30 pm Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean are joining us for a live chat.

Torvill and Dean became world famous at the 1984 Winter Olympics when they became the highest scoring figure skaters of all time, scoring maximum points for dance to Ravel's Bolero. (If you've never seen it or haven't seen it since the 80's it worth a look - we've been marvelling at it this morning on YouTube at Mumsnet HQ)

They were enticed out of retirement to take part in ITV's Dancing On Ice which begins again in early 2011. The Dancing on Ice Live Tour 2010 DVD is out on November 29th and Tickets for the Dancing On Ice Live Tour 2011 are now on sale from Dancing on Ice Live Tour 2011
Join us on Friday to chat Jayne and Christopher and if you're unable to make it, send your questions to them in advance of the chat to this thread.

@oilauren

Have you seen anything in the theatre recently that you've really enjoyed?

I used to love going to the theatre but living in Colorado Springs there isn't so much going on. I would like to go and see 'Ghost Stories'

Re: the tour, How long will you keep touring with the show? It's a lot of work for you guys... But watching you skate live is a privilege...

Love doing the tour - I love the night after night experience - although it's repetition, you get to enjoy the performance because you're more confident and that goes for the celebrities too.

hannah19 · 26/11/2010 14:16

Ghost Stories is GREAT you have to see it sometime

Dulcinea · 26/11/2010 14:17

A question for both of you. What do you think of getting rid of the Compulsory Dances, and do you like the new Short Dance format? Do you think these changes will be beneficial for the sport?
