Is this positive?!

I’ve name changed for this. I am due in hospital tomorrow for a colposcopy because of periods being all over the place. Just decided to do a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side.
DH and I were told earlier this year it was very unlikely we could conceive due to my age and low AMH levels.

Was not expecting this. I’m not going nuts am I? Is this positive? Is there any way it could be wrong?

DH is at work & I can’t talk to him for a couple of hours. Am shaking.

The Doctor just called me. The same, lovely, Doctor who had referred me for fertility checks. I could tell over the phone she is thrilled for me!
She asked me how I feel, but I couldn't manage much more than "mainly shocked really"

She advised that I can't have a colposcopy done so the appointment needed cancelling, which I've done. She has referred me straight to maternity services.

She estimates I'm about 5 and a half weeks. I will maybe try to source a digital test tomorrow to add to my collection!

I was told by the doctor, when I was first pregnant (about a million years ago!) that you never really get false positives.

You are going to have a lovely Christmas this year, but next year will be beyond special!

OP just to add I had a positive x2 then the GP test came back negative. He said it didn’t matter, didn’t do another and just referred me to midwife as he said home tests were more accurate. That was 22 years ago so I think you can trust the tests you have done.

I did eight tests before I was really convinced, so I think it's really entirely legitimate to keep buying lots of different tests until you are really happy with it.

Sometimes I ask myself why I'm on MN with the snide remarks and hyperbole about insignificant things, then I see a thread like this and it makes me feel all warm inside. I am so happy for you OP, congratulations
