Is this positive?!

I’ve name changed for this. I am due in hospital tomorrow for a colposcopy because of periods being all over the place. Just decided to do a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side.
DH and I were told earlier this year it was very unlikely we could conceive due to my age and low AMH levels.

Was not expecting this. I’m not going nuts am I? Is this positive? Is there any way it could be wrong?

DH is at work & I can’t talk to him for a couple of hours. Am shaking.

Is this positive?!

Fantastic news! Even though I don't know you, I am excited for you. As I read your posts and saw that you did 2 more tests because you didn't believe the results, I smiled more and more - you have really made my day. I also had my first child just before my 40th birthday and then had my daughter at 46. I'm sure you will be great parents - congratulations!

I'm still in shock or denial or something.

DH has had to go back out to work for the evening so I'm just left with the cat, trying to process this.
My GP still hasn't called me back, but hopefully they will do before I'm due at the hospital tomorrow.

Thank you for your responses, Mumsnetters.
I just had to show someone that first test this morning as I thought I might be losing the plot. I didn't want to put that on a friend at this point!

Congratulations! In my head I'm dancing round the room for you Grin.

I had my first over 40. Get used to being told you're geriatric in obstetric terms Grin

Gonnagetgoing · 01/12/2021 16:21

Looks very positive to me!

A friend of mine had been trying for ages for babies. Both times she went to a wedding and in her words “got drunk and smoked!”. Both times positive pregnancy tests and she now has 2 lovely healthy little girls.

StarryNightSparkles · 01/12/2021 16:22

A massive congratulations to you both 💖💐 wishing you all the best for the future.

Can someone please pass me a tissue 😭💖

prediction500 · 01/12/2021 16:22

Congratulations!

ComeAllYeFaithful · 01/12/2021 16:22

You still need to go for your colposcopy. You can have a colposcopy but you cannot have lletz (if needed) until after the baby is born. But they need to know what’s going on there.

I had a colposcopy a few weeks ago and they did a pregnancy test whilst I was there as I needed lletz.

Massive congratulations OP. Happy and healthy 9 months to you xxx

LondonJax · 01/12/2021 16:23

Congratulations!

I was 43 when I got my positive - like you I think I did every pregnancy test available over the course of a week as I couldn't believe it.

What a fantastic start to the Christmas season. Now, let DH pamper you a little bit and put your feet up!

Gonnagetgoing · 01/12/2021 16:24

I think personally when you relax when you’re TTC that’s when you’re more likely to fall pregnant.

When my SIL was on her first round of IVF she and DB came over and stayed with me for a few days as having work done on their flat, and i insisted she relaxed and had 2 G&Ts. Positive pregnancy test soon after and her little boy couldn’t be more normal and clever!
