Yes! we have the new neighbours moving in and then your DD starts driving...many more years of fun. I keep forgetting that you've told us you've been peeping through the blinds for years🤣

What happened?

sunshinesupermum · 04/03/2020 15:58

Thanks for the Christmas link originalcatlady

You have to make time for the important things, Kath had me wetting myself!

originalcatlady · 04/03/2020 16:07

Soo this afternoons highlights. B got home and did her usual arm waving complaining. C went out. B moved two feet forward. C returned, parked in X.

A now has visitors, who have had to park in 3, as C wouldn't open the door when everyone knocked on. They are all currently in the street bitching...B has absolutely no realisation that half this is her fault!

sunshinesupermum · 04/03/2020 16:11

I thought D made a comment a couple of days ago but B is too obtuse to realise it was aimed at her.

Lweji · 04/03/2020 16:13

No chance that A called the Council, then?

originalcatlady · 04/03/2020 16:14

No...I did wonder if L did 😉

Oh, and just because: Daffodil

BigFatLiar · 04/03/2020 17:27

The disabled space - is it painted white or yellow? Dos it have blue sign saying disabled parking only?

originalcatlady · 04/03/2020 17:35

Painted white with a white sign.

OP posts:
MaggieFS · 04/03/2020 18:05

Are A's visitors entitled to use the disabled space if they themselves are not disabled???

BigFatLiar · 04/03/2020 18:28

Depending on where you live white bays are 'advisory' i.e. area needed for a disabled person but actually anyone can park (so why have it you may well ask), some areas make them blue badge only using local parking restrictions. The yellow bays with blue signs are the general 'blue badge only' bays where only blue badge holders can park there.

@sunshinesupermum

Thanks for the Christmas link originalcatlady

Could you point me in the direction of that one please! Many thanks Grin

TheHumanSatsuma · 04/03/2020 19:10

Have I missed something? When were the council called?

WhatICallMyUsername · 04/03/2020 19:19

I could be wrong, it happens a lot, but I think it was the OP from the Olaf parking thread who shared the link to the Christmas parking thread. Apologies for the long link, it won't let me do a clicky for some reason Hmm

decorate my neighbour’s new ‘no parking outside my door’ signs with a bit of tinsel? http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/mumsnet_classics/3456654-To-decorate-my-neighbour-s-new-no-parking-outside-my-door-signs-with-a-bit-of-tinsel Christmas parking

WhatICallMyUsername · 04/03/2020 19:20

FFS what's up with my links, just click the bottom bit

HelloBambinos · 04/03/2020 20:30

How did the rant end earlier? What's the situation op?

GabsAlot · 04/03/2020 20:54

As much as it is B fault for taking up two spaces noone should park in X its not A's fault

SallyLovesCheese · 04/03/2020 20:56

I'm really wishing I was visiting this road because then I could stand around with B when she's moaning and say "Yeah, if this selfish person hadn't parked in the middle of this bay (1/2) then two cars could fit in".

Not that it would probably bother her!

Welshmaenad · 04/03/2020 21:48

I don't understand why A has a designated disabled space for visitors. Unless the visitors are themselves disabled, or are using A's blue badge because he is going to be getting in the car and therefore they're parking there for his benefit, the visitors are no more entitled than any other non blue badge holder to use a designated disabled space. You don't get one just as a peek of being disabled. It is solely for the use of disabled resident driver, or disabled resident who requires close access for regular use.

Welshmaenad · 04/03/2020 21:49

Perk!

bluepeterbadgeholder · 04/03/2020 22:04

@WhatICallMyUsername Many thanks for the link
