Thank you, thank you. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you Flowers

The DCs and I left our family home this week. as we were fleeing domestic violence. It's been a really shitty week, but thanks to all of your food bank donations our cupboard looks like this. The volunteers there were so welcoming to me, gave me tea, checked I was okay and they're going to make sure there are some bits waiting for me next week that weren't available today.

I've been overwhelmed by the generosity of people. Friends of a friend have given us bags of toys.

If you ever lose your faith in mankind, remember that the kindness of strangers has provided food and happiness to my children this week. I couldn't be more grateful.

Thank you Flowers

So glad you are getting support and makes me pleased that I do when I remember put stuff in the food bank collections.

My 10 year old made some homemade lemonade, then sold it to neighbours and friends. When I asked her what she wanted to do with the proceeds she replied “give it to charity!” She then went and bought lots of food and gave it to our local food bank. She has a good heart, but she also knows what it’s like to see her mum struggle, so she likes to think of it as paying it forward. She’ll be happy to hear that her efforts made a difference to someone somewhere.

Just realised ocado have a donate on their online shop too and whatever you donate, they will match it. It's great for fresh food.

I'm reading my way through the classics and every day is a school day I didn't know I could buy stuff in Aldi ( where I shop) and drop it off at the Sainsbury's collection point
