to ask if you sad when, after starting a topice, no one responds?

I used to think that I was a good writer. But, since joining MN, I have to face the sad realisation that this is untrue. If I comment on a thread, it dies, and if I start a thread, no one answers! I give up. I know I am a good reader, I will stick to that from now on....

dedicated?

ZenOfPetals · 02/06/2013 19:57

But what will you call it? The inthreadables? Can the title mention feeling sad when no- one responds? So it could be like a refuge for people who carefully start a thread, then check it overandoverandoveragain (my friend, can't you see we're on the eve of destruction) Sorry watching the Simpsons, and that song is playing in the background- only to find that no one has replied?

OOOH, oh, most active thread! I feel validated. Who was it who said that MN can make you feel like a student in secondary school again?

Oh we have to keep going, I feel like I can pop in and out all day and someone will listen to me!

(my 'u' key seems to be sticking, there may be toblerone under it)

DiaryOfAWimpyMum · 02/06/2013 20:42

Amazingmumof6 you are in the top ten posters for most posts this week Grin

DuchessOfAvon · 02/06/2013 20:55

Do you think think that we might have an

emerging quiche

on our hands?

You know - were we start the next thread with Inthreadibles and before you know it, people will be asking what we are - like Nobdies....

I would like to add a disclaimer that I have been drinking Pimms since 13:00 at our Big Lunch so can not be held responsible for the content of any post this evening - or any offense caused thereby.

Blueandwhitelover · 02/06/2013 20:57

Oh I like the sound of quiche :-)

I am dreading going back to school tomorrow :-(

VixZenFenchell · 02/06/2013 21:01

zing you are famous! 2nd most prolific poster on MN last week!

Remember when you receive your award we all want a mention in your speech Grin

Aye to starting a new thread when this one fills up but we can't leave it at 980 - even if it's 20 blank lines I would be sad and teary if we don't get to 1000.

Roomie how is your DS?

As to the title of the next thread ... Hmmm. We could use the last 20 posts to argue about discuss it - and then see what zing or zen come up with? My suggestion: "don't feel blue if noone's answered you, the Inthreadibles are here and we will talk all year"

But I am sleep deprived and under caffeinated so it may not rhyme to anyone else.

VixZenFenchell · 02/06/2013 21:03

Duchess emerging quiche made me giggle like a loon. It just conjures up strange images!

Blueandwhitelover · 02/06/2013 21:04

Don't feel blue :-)

have more caffeine, it always helps.

Thumbtack · 02/06/2013 21:04

Hey zing, you being the second most prolific poster and all, can I announce myself to be your no.1 groupie?

VixZenFenchell · 02/06/2013 21:05

Roomie I meant DD. as I said, sleep deprived and under caffeinated.

On the plus side, no work today! Happy Birthday yourMaj!

amazingmumof6 · 02/06/2013 21:07

what's "emerging quiche"?

Thumbtack · 02/06/2013 21:07

vix that rhyme is awesome!

DuchessOfAvon · 02/06/2013 21:07

yy Roomie I meant to ask too but got carried away with my emerging quiche.

We are just finishing the pox here after 3.5 looong weeks. The little chuffers darlings decided to have it consecutively rather than concurrently. I can't wait until they go back to school and nursery.

VixZenFenchell · 02/06/2013 21:08

Mmm. More caffeine. Warm bed vs more caffeine ... Otoh I think it's 9ish in the UK so I can call Dad for a natter while the kettle boils :)

DuchessOfAvon · 02/06/2013 21:10

Amazmum Quiche is MN for a clique - one of those long-running threads like Nobdies or the TSA chaps.

I just wondered whether we were in the formative stages of a clique of our own - obviously an all-inclusive and welcoming one for threadkillers of all persuasions.

Blueandwhitelover · 02/06/2013 21:14

Am I not in the quiche? Nobody wanted a bit of my toblerone ...

Thumbtack · 02/06/2013 21:14

duchess I do hope believe the signs are there! I'm vair vair excited about this.

Thumbtack · 02/06/2013 21:16

blue you are not just part of of this quiche, you are one of the founding members!

amazingmumof6 · 02/06/2013 21:18

2nd most thingy - how the hell did that happen?
how do you know I'm in hall of fame?

I want to look and see, how do I do it?

of course you're all invited to award ceremony and after party! yay!

TT I'm humbled that you want to be my chief groupie and hereby grant you the title.Grin
I may call you "Chief" from time to time if you allow me.

oh, I think it should be Zen to start a new thread, but happy to oblige if needed.

I'm on Nobdies too, sweet gang, but I love the idea of being amongst the founders of a cult Grin

amazingmumof6 · 02/06/2013 21:19

blue gimme Toblerone. NOW!

Thumbtack · 02/06/2013 21:19

We could call the second thread 'Fenchel strikes again' or my earlier suggestion of 'Homemade Thread Rolls'

I

ZenOfPetals · 02/06/2013 21:20
