Rubester..........I should be so lucky, my new postie is about 27, 62, and Shabs, looks not unlike a certain Mr Williams, I kid you not......... so upset about Lews present, they said there is nothing I can do until its been missing for 3 weeks I am so peed off, been in a real bad mood all day. H really really really upset me last night, after getting ready for the visitors Frid, not much, you know, dragging out beds, changing beds, preparing supper etcetcetc, they phoned last min and said they had changed their mind and it would suit them better to come on the 27th Loads of snow here, freezing conditions tonight, wish I was going out, I have no Christmas spirit. Dy know what I would love more than anything? To rustle up all you lovely lot, make a mass of food, and drink and laugh and drink and laugh, cannot remember the last time I laughed.........bah humbug!

triplets · 19/12/2009 21:33

Oh where is everyone? I am in need of nuts and wine and fun.......will go to bed with my book, which is also boring.......bah humbug

triplets · 19/12/2009 23:55

I didnt go to bed, I decided I was to fed up, which really doesnt make sense. Sadly I have sat here mindlessly trawling, pathetic and now my eyes are so sore and tired I really must go, but if his toenails so much as tough mine I`ll scream....................I hate nipples and toenails

triplets · 19/12/2009 23:56

tough or touch.........don`t care! Kale Nits mon petite pomme de terres

shabbapinkfrog · 20/12/2009 00:40

Awwwww Trips - I should have been here tonight to have a gab. Just been to chellesters - she only lives about a quarter of a mile away from us but it has taken almost 45 minutes to walk home. The snow stood about 2 inches from the ground....the rain started to fall...the snow almost vanished and then...nightfall came and froze the slush to the pavements!!!! Im stretching my arms the few hundred miles from Lancashire to Kent to give you a massive hug....never forget that without you and your Matthew - me and my Matt would never have survived. I love you my dear friend - always and forever. Kale Nits you daft old buggar xxxxx

Hiya Shabs just had a message from the Macmillen support site, Garys daughter Claire passed away at 5.15am today, 23, bowel/liver cancer. She has gone into the hospice last week to try to get her to eat, the chemo was making her so sick, oh bugger Shabs, thats Anna and Claire both in their 20`s on the last 3 months, it gets to you. Poor poor family

shabbapinkfrog · 20/12/2009 15:12

Such sad news Trips. You dont have to 'know' the people concerned in RL to have just the deepest sympathy xxx

triplets · 20/12/2009 15:20

Thank you my friend, its so much more painful as we what its like. She had just finished uni when she was diagnosed, she was going to be a bridesmaid tomorrow for her best friend.

oooggs · 20/12/2009 21:26

estar · 21/12/2009 09:28

Morning shabs and all.

Haven't posted for ages but have been lurking. I have the worst SPD and can barely get off the sofa - I am so glad for the holidays today! Apart from having to get food into them every now and again, I am just going to let these children run riot around the house and not even attempt to do anything today.

I am on crutches and can only shuffle and still eleven weeks to go - how am I going to do it?

Anyway, the upside is that I haven't attempted to stretch myself at all this Christmas season - done all my shopping online and am ignoring the very concept of Christmas cards - and it has felt rather nice to have a lot less to think about.

Thinking of your friend trips and shabs - seems to be a lot of tragedy this December, we're dealing with one potential marriage break-up (not mine! ) in the family, and a friend who's father has just died of a heart attack

Oh sorry, I mean

Well, at least at Christmas real life can stop for a while and people come together more to support and help each other. Hope that's what happens in each of these situations

shabbapinkfrog · 21/12/2009 09:34

Ouch Estar - hope your health improves - but, must admit, I am all for letting Christmas just kind of wash over us. I struggle to put my Elanore Rigby face on and have hardly written or posted any cards.

No Lew today - the nursery where Ems works has closed because of the snow....she is beside herself with joy She just rang me and her and Lew are dancing around the living room to Christmas songs

On the less positive side Lew has started with major, major, major temper tantrums - they spent the whole of Saturday with him screaming that he wasn't having his feet measured!!! Ems said they emptied the shop...so for anybody who was in Whittakers, Bolton on Saturday and witnessed a little curly ginger haired toddler having a meltdown - deal with it

Derv78 · 21/12/2009 12:19

Shabs, know only too well what the feet measuring tantrum is like! Catherine hates it. Weird, cos she loves trying on all the different shoes afterwards. In fact, two of her first words were 'shoes' & 'bag'; she's an accesories girl, like me! Hope Lew got sorted with some new shoes!

DTs doing well, they were weighed on Friday. Both putting on weight, Adam at a faster rate than Thomas, but both having loads of pees & poos, & having bright periods through the day. Feeding every 2-3hrs during the day, & roughly every 3 hrs at night, so can't complain. Got my EZ-2-nurse pillow delivered, makes feeding SO much easier (thanks again for recommendation, Kathryn). In fact, even typing on my I-phone right now as Thomas having last wee nuzzle!

Hope everyone else well, & not snowed in! xx

triplets · 21/12/2009 17:39

Hi girls, another freezing day here in Kent, went into town this morning for an hour, but was glad to get back, still lots of snow. Can`t believe the big day will soon be here, hard to get into the spirit this year, lots of sadness around atm, but must try to hide it for the kids, they are getting sooo excited. We have had no post for 3 days now, why do we come to a standstill when it snows? Hope everyone is warm and well xx

Snowing hard again here!!! Its adding to the 4 inches that have been on the ground for the last 2 days - its not even funny anymore! Got to try and pick up Lew in a couple of hours - what joy, what fun!!! If you hear of a Gran and toddler stuck in the snow you will know who it is!

neenz · 22/12/2009 15:00

We even got snow here overnight and we never get snow!

Trips, so sorry there is so much sadness right now - I hope your kids can help brighten your christmas

T and E can now say their own names 'Eeoh' and 'Etter' . T was up in the night with a cough, he woke E and she then spent an hour singing 'Winkle winkle wittle wah' before going back to sleep and we all had a lie-in till 9am (sorry keep forgetting the festive emoticons)

I will have to try take some video Shabs for Lew! We are not venturing out this afternoon so have plenty of time on my hands. The thing is they are so snotty you can't get vid of them fast enough after wiping their faces clean!

neenz · 22/12/2009 16:50

Here you go Shabs - it's a bit dark unfortunately but hopefully he will be able to recognise Teeto and Tester
