thank you curiosity common is the word you were looking for

In fact (must have been bored) we have 4 children and they all have 2 names each, all 8 names are in the top 50 and 4 of them in the top 10 we also have a James (ds1) and Luke (ds3) in my defense Jacks' name was pulled out of thin air when he was born - another J name, most popular name and we love it and it so suits him

curiositykilledhaskittens · 11/01/2010 21:15

My children's are like that too which is obviously why I like yours! Connor, Ella, Dylan, Lily... My gran always says "Oh what're you calling them that for it's so common?!" LOL

We choose middle names after important people in our lives, mostly dead people! LOL Kenneth (my mum's dad - dead), Marie (My dad's aunt - dead), George (FIL's dad - dead) and Ruth (MIL - only in her fifties)...

Lol, just think how many threads on AIBU are started about how much people hate their MILs and I love mine so much we have named a child after her! She is brilliant though!

Lily was going to be the middle name of twin 2 but he was a boy and was also going to be the name of dc4 and he was also a boy!

All of the names had just been 'chosen' non of them after anybody (we couldn't upset anybody then ).

They have middle names of Aaron, Grace, Nathan & Daniel.

Names are a very personal choice

I am at snapping point...........how how how do I get these three to bed without all this hassle, if you could hear them now. Becca has just sneaked a bowl of cereal upstairs and has now dropped and broken the bowl, a fav of mine ad she doesn`t care.........

piximonkeyingaround · 11/01/2010 21:55

Dts had their first day nursery today. They were so excited to have their own packed lunch bags . Went in so happy, settled straight away. I came home and tried to study, essay overdue, but felt sorry for Prince ds3 as he looked so forlorn and played with him instead, I've rarely seen him so quiet.

When I picked up dts this afternoon and asked them what they'd been doing "well we had packed lunch" was first out of their mouths lol. Dt1's new uniform is covered in non shiftable blue paint and they both had muddy knees. They can't wait to go back on Thursday!

triplets · 11/01/2010 21:57

It will be calculators and mobiles before you know it Pixi Glad they had a fab day

piximonkeyingaround · 11/01/2010 22:04

I love the name Lily (my maternal grandmother was Lilian), I would have called dd1 it but had already used it for one of our cats, same with Molly, Jacob & Samuel so we went with outlandish rather unusual names which suit my name and tie in fairly well with our mixed heritage. Funnily enough on our shortlist were Zac and Lucas, names my close friend that I'd lost contact with, chose for her dcs unbeknownst to me.

Evening girls.

got a lovely email from the family who own the hotel we go to in Rhodes. All really touching and hysterically funny!!!! During the holiday season their English is amazing but in the Winter it is just really funny! having said that I can only swear, order drinks and say good morning in Greek

piximonkeyingaround · 11/01/2010 22:24

triplets. And sneaky bowls of cereal . Is your bowl replaceable?

I sat down earlier and thought that next Sept I'll have them all at school and nursery and will not know what to do with myself. I told dh we should borrow some today as the house was eerily quiet. I am not sitting in that chair.

triplets · 11/01/2010 22:26

Curio, your dts sound exactly like mine - dt2 sooo serious and dt1 is such a flirt!

Feeling a bit fed up here - dh was in a car crash on the way home from work this evening . He is OK but the car isn't. It could have been such a lot worse though but he is still about his car .

triplets · 11/01/2010 23:29

So glad he is ok, its scary though ! Off to my bed, night night all xx

shabbapinkfrog · 11/01/2010 23:32

Bagpuss so pleased that your DH is not hurt - the car is just a metal box.

Trips - Good night my dear friend xxxx

MarsLady · 11/01/2010 23:44

Bagpuss... if you want to email the whole shebang about your birth story I'm happy to listen. Remember, it's what I do. Am happy to do it for you. mars at mammydoula dot co dot uk

Welcome Sophie. Ask for the multiple birth's policy. If they say that they don't have one, smile nicely and ask again. May be worth emailing your consultant. Sometimes they respond better to emails. Also ask the Head of Midwifery.

Good to see you back lg&t

Curiosity... you're doing fine. You only need be you. Life would be too crazy with more than one of me lol!

Starshaker... good to have you with us.

Hi girls, propped up in bed, this is more comfy than sitting under the stairs, dont know why I havent thought of it before! Just had a bath, coloured my hair, shaved legs, immacd the moustache all ready for tomorrows meet up! Dh sailor mate of over 30 yrs ago is coming to visit, bringing his wife and daughter, I have never met them, they live in Colchester, fair old way to come. They are treating us to lunch out, how civilized! They have son who has been on tv, so will be interesting! Sat here feeling fat, am fat, long skinny arms and legs, but its all piled on around the middle, hate it. Need some inspiration girls. Its DH birthday next Sun 17th, and trios on the 27th!! Have very little money, so not spending much on presents and there is very little they want after Christmas. No one is free to come to supper for dh, and have no idea what to do for kids, indoor party is a no no, done that before and its hell. They would like to take friends to cinema, followed by lunch at the neighbouring restaurants, just cannot afford it, it would work out approx £15 a head, I personally would have liked 2 nights away, in a forest, something we could all enjoy! Becs doesnt even want to spend the day with the boys, I want to be with them all! Ideas welcome! Other news today which has upset us is we contacted hosp re DH appt to go in to have Gladys removed(ileostomy bag for those who think I am barking). We were told last Oct it would be Jan/early Feb, reassured by the consultant DH would be over the worst before we go to Florida, mid May. He would also repair a hernia that has developed at the same site. Today we have been told the waiting list is 6/7 months and he has no chance of getting it done before June!! Of course it would be so much nicer for him to go without the bag, swimming etc, but my worry is the hernia, he already gets alot of discomfort from it. The ins comps won`t cover him for the cancer, ileostomy or hernia as they say they are all connected! Not fair is it? If we cancel we lose our money, again because of the insurance! What next!!
