Sat here awaiting the arrival of the in laws, really want to go to bed and finish ny book! Ells bells!

MERLYPUSS · 27/12/2009 20:44

I survived xmas lunch (23 seated if you incl the DTs) without having a break down. I did really burn the palm of my hand and cracked a huge piece of tooth off (nice bill coming up no doubt) but it was good. Drank one G&T and got woozy so went on coke. Boys had a blast, went to bed at 9pm and still woke pre 6am. Please will someone tell them that it's just rude to wake that early? Oh and DT2 likes pate so that's another thing to add to the repetoire (and honey roast cashews Grandad found out).

shabbapinkfrog · 28/12/2009 00:39

Merly - LOL I love the sound of your Christmas xxxx

shabbapinkfrog · 28/12/2009 08:48

Morning girls.

My twins are 28 years old today

HarrogateMum · 28/12/2009 10:48

Happy Birthday to Dan and Gareth for today Shabs! Is it still a winter wonderland in Bolton? Its sunny on this side of the Pennines and its melting but apparently there is 10 inches on its way overnight (ooer missus!).

DH has taken the kids to soft play so I can have a relax....which actually means washing, drying, tidying, dusting and then probably having a cup of tea just before they all pile back into the house....

How was everyone's Christmas? Ours was good except I have a stinking cold and have not been able to taste any of the great food and wine I have served up to everyone, bums!

shabbapinkfrog · 28/12/2009 10:54

Thanks HM.

It is horrible up here!

We have about 4 inches of solid ice on the roads and pavements and quite dense fog at the moment - even walking a few yards to the shop is so scary. I am sick of the snow now

New picture on my profile of Tom and Lew xx

HarrogateMum · 28/12/2009 11:01

fab pics Shabs! I have tried to upload some new Christmas ones but my stupid laptop isnt playing ball...will have to wait for DH, the techno geek to sort it out.

Right, off to make that cuppa before he gets back with the troops! And to figure out hte breadmaker that I got for xmas (I did ask for it, it wasnt like I was given a new iron or something, ha ha!)

curiositykilledhaskittens · 28/12/2009 14:02

Happy birthday to shabs' beautiful boys! Your new pic is lovely, doesn't Tomster look handsome in his glasses and the mighty Lew has such a cheeky grin! Think the babies are better but I am a grump and a humbug and have a sore throat. Hope you are all well!

Off to read the rest of the thread...

curiositykilledhaskittens · 28/12/2009 14:14

Well, there has been lots of snow for most of you! We have had some and done some sledging but it hasn't been awful or terribly icy.

Seems like you have all had a nice but tiring christmas. I got a slanket as my pressie so am nice and warm...

OP posts:
shabbapinkfrog · 28/12/2009 14:15

stay away from that thread Curio - you make me ROFL.

curiositykilledhaskittens · 28/12/2009 14:17

oh shabs, was hoping you were staying away from it! ROFL! We should make a pact to competitively both stay away...

OP posts:
shabbapinkfrog · 28/12/2009 14:19

I ignored it for the first couple of pages then I couldn't help but post...am just lurking at the moment tbh. I wanted to just post and after your post but thought that was somewhat childish for a 53 year old gran???

curiositykilledhaskittens · 28/12/2009 14:27

no more childish than any of them! I agree with what some of them said about you being fabarooney (as the tweenies would say) but think they are mostly idiots... Idiots with no brains and mean gossipy spirits

OP posts:
curiositykilledhaskittens · 28/12/2009 14:29

what a time to pick for it all to kick off again too...

OP posts:
oooggs · 28/12/2009 19:27

Happy Birthday Danny & Gareth

curiositykilledhaskittens · 28/12/2009 19:40

lol, looks like I have killed it shabs! What humbugs to do it at christmas!

OP posts:
shabbapinkfrog · 28/12/2009 19:42

Curio I know the timing was terrible but Korma was very freaked out by her FB chat with Dizzy.

curiositykilledhaskittens · 28/12/2009 19:44

oh yes, I don't mean korma. I mean the band wagon jumpers. Sorry she's still going wrong too. Good she's talking about it though.

Help needed naming Christmas Eve born twins

MERLYPUSS · 28/12/2009 21:22

Hiya folks. I have drunk far too much Baileys and eaten far too much choccy. Tomorrow we have a day off. It was going to be older sis but se cancelled. So far it has been ...
xmas eve - BILS. xmas day - everyone here
day after - Dads. boxing day - in laws. Today - middle sis. DTs just want to play with their sock monkeys and be able to have a bath before bed and eat in their high chairs. Not entertain everyone. Bless 'em. Middle sis did make fab sock monkeys for them though which DT1 has named Reg (G'dad's name - cheeky bugger) and DT2 has named my one Hard Man (or at least it sounded like that).

shabbapinkfrog · 29/12/2009 01:34

Merly - I read your post and it made me feel knackered

OK I have 'done' another birthday for my darling twin boys. They are 28 now!!! Oh my word I have sobbed tonight.

I wish I could have kept Gareth alive. I tried everything to keep him here. I am so proud of both of my twin boys. Wish I could have a peep at Gareth and see if he is married, see if he has children. This all sounds very weird when I read it back...but...I am curious to know what he is up to

shabbapinkfrog · 29/12/2009 09:18

Morning girls xx

curiositykilledhaskittens · 29/12/2009 12:03

Afternoon shabs.xx

Doesn't sound weird at all but that's the kind of thought that'll drive you crazy surely?

You are a brilliant mum x

OP posts:
shabbapinkfrog · 29/12/2009 12:10

Who? Crazy? Me? Never!!!!

xxxxx
