Most of Mexico and other Spanish countries celebrate in remberance on 31st, 1st and 2nd. Though there is one on 26/28th December which I think depends on which tradition. We don't really take to heart where it came from only what it now signifies now. Just thought I'd ask :) Hallow's was brilliant. Kids had so much fun. Totally exhausted now.

Gunna sleep before I pass out. Night x

Morning girls x

DH overslept today, I woke him up at 6.45 wondering why he was still in bed, so we both had a lovely lie in Grin He will just get the tube now rather than walk from the mainline, so won't actually be very late if at all to his desk.

Yesterday was MANIC! Had dentist, both R and J are going to need braces, R now been referred to orthodontist, but not til next July Shock Then shopping, running older kids around to various playdates, home to do Halloween crafts with the dts, trimmed up, trick or treating, then dh got home and took over and I went to spinning class. Was fun, and this morning I found the kids sorting their massive haul. They are now running a sweet stock exchange - grand negotiations going on and it is keeping them busy and content! Halloween is very good around here, lots of people really go all out with deccies and lights.

Very glad it is friday though, have some nice steak for dinner and will do homecut chips and all the trimmings and enjoy with a bottle of wine once the kids are in bed.

Morning All
Good Afternoon here yesterday, put up halloween decs, which we add a bit to each year. We had the house looking spooky with fake graveyard, spider webs everywhere with giant spider and skeleton in the middle, and our spooky hanging caged goul which rattles its chains and yells to be let out if you clap by it, also our skull doorbell which has glowing eyes and says things like "welcome to the haunted house" when you ring it. Other things dotted around as well.As you can guess, halloween is a big thing in our village.Grin The boys and I made pumpkin pies and had a couple of their friends for a halloween tea.
Later, the boys went out dressed as the Scream charactor and a Zombie, (both homemade except the masks) came back with a huge bag of tooth rotting booty and a £5 note each from a lady just outside the village with more money than sense, but loves to see the kids in costume, she gives out various sums of money depending on how much she likes the costumes, she obviously liked the boys!
DH and I sat in answering the door regularly to loads of trick or treaters. We have an unwritten rule in the village that if there is no pumkin, or any sort of decoration at a house, you dont call there, and, of course, the kids know not to call at people with the "no trick or treaters please" notices in the windows, so it all goes off smoothly with nobody getting upset.
Going up the hospital today to visit mum and take her clean clothes.
Had a discussion with elder db yesterday about whether to send her home, or have her moved to an EMI nursing home. I say send her home with her support network again as she was doing quite well, and I think she will fade very quickly in a nursing home.

shabbatheGreek · 01/11/2013 10:35

Agree about the nursing home Bubby. My Mum always used to say 'If I go batty plllllease dont put me in a nursing home to 'wait for God!!' If I have to go in one of those places I will 'bump myself off!!'

triplets · 01/11/2013 17:08

We could go together Shabs :o

Thinking about my favourite Aunty.......Aunty Dot who died 6 years ago today on her 88th birthday. Loved her to bits, she had such a wicked sense of humour :)

MultipleMama · 01/11/2013 19:34

So exhaustd

MultipleMama · 01/11/2013 20:01

So exhausted. Today has been none stop.

Morning was spent packing more boxes, before heading into town to pick up a few preordered gifts. Then was back and forth with the kids to the park and swimming. Had a lovely dinner followed by dessert. Every year we ask the kids what they wanna do with their candy, usually they want to eat but this year they wanted to give it to the babies like A-team or as my kids call them "Artie & Olly" :D but as they're too young we took them up to the Children's ward. DH and I spent the afternoon at the hospital while dad took all 4 to a spooky tea party. They came home at 4.30pm covered in goo and glitter?? We made K's blankets into a tent and spent their bed time reading spooky stories under the tent after A's quiet time. All 4 are now passed out in K's room all tucked together. Cutest thing ever! DH and I are about to settle down with a book in front of the fire. Love days like these :)

triplets · 02/11/2013 07:14

Hello Shabs didn`t see you there! Its very mild here, I am sat up in bed with my window wide open listening to the squawk of the seagulls!

MultipleMama · 02/11/2013 14:34

It's only 2pm and I want this day to end already. DH headed upto the hospital at 4am after a terrifying call from the NICU by the time we arrived at 4.30pm, he'd had 4 brachycardia episodes, he managed to pull himself out of one but thoses required intervension. From 4am to now he's had 14 Brady's. I know that it's normal for Prems to have but I'm terrified and scared. They were going to start weaning him but they're posponing it for now. You can tell it's happening as his lips and fingertips turn blue but usually if stroke his nose or foot it brings it back up. I feel such a mess. I haven't seen Artie at all today, DH has but I feel so guilty. I don't my child to suffer any more. I'm scared he's in pain. I want them home.

MultipleMama · 02/11/2013 14:35

4.30am*

bubby64 · 02/11/2013 17:15

Mama - We are all willing him on here, just keep on with the positive vibes.
Im also fed up. Doing on call for the bigger agency I work for, and, as usual, they have cocked the rotas up and have absolutly no staff available to fill the gaps. I have spent all day begging staff to do extra to their already overburdened rotas, and apologising to clients and their relatives for late or in some cases missed visitsAngry The phones are not comnnecting well, as the company, in their wisdom have changed their phone provider to one with very poor signel here, so also their computer keeps going down as well as the dongle is the same provider. It has has been so busy I havent managed to get changed out of PJs all day!

Sounds as though you deserved that Sokky :) I am feeling rather peed off this morning. Lovely sunny day and dk clears off to his allotment, out of it leaving me with the kids as usual. Their rooms are a tip, they still have homework to do for tomorrow. I just started turning out dd`s wardrobe and am sooooooo Angry Angry Angry. Matthews friend Anna passes on a lot of her clothes to dd, one item was a fab soft brown leather jacket, cost over £200. Just found it in the back of her wardrobe with a section of it cut away right on the front Angry she cut it out and apparently made a bracelet out of it with safety pins ! Bloody ruined, because someone else would have snapped it up from the charity shop, God I am so cross with her. Also just found last weeks packed munch in a striking shade of green in her bag. Tell me to calm down..................

triplets · 03/11/2013 12:16

like packed munch :o

shabbatheGreek · 03/11/2013 14:28

.......dont calm down - rant and bloody rave at her......I did that last week with Tom - haven't done it for a long time. The whole house fell silent for about half an hour!!! Grin

Got a phone call from Mum last night....

Mum: Do you know anything about Gas?

Me: Whats wrong Mum?

Mum: Central heating wont work and its freezing!!!

Me: I will ring Dan NOW but dont do anything at all - just sit there and dont move Grin

Rang Dan - who went flying down to his grandparents. Their pilot light had gone out - we had an horrendous storm about 7pm....purple and pink lightning!! Dan remembered that my Dad paid a maintenace insurance so rang them up. They said 'It will be tomorrow evening between 7pm and 10pm!!!' Dan shouted at them and explained the situation and then waited till they came. Everything fixed and sorted out. BUT he said when he got there my Mum was still sat in the chair because I said she had to!!!!!!!!! LOL. Oh aint life grand?

MultipleMama · 03/11/2013 19:20

Rant away, Trips. It's good to vent.

So, some good news. Artie has been given a date and if all goes to plan, which I doubt it will knowing my luck, and providing she passes the car seat test she can come home on the 14th!! Thought I would have to buy another car seat but it looks like she'll fit in our current one for her. Yay, for saving money.

As for Apollo, he's neither better or worse. They don't know if it's the Grade 2 causing his Brady's or what the consultant in charge suspects; sepsis. He's on antibiotics and all his lines minus his trach have been replaced, as well as his stitches been redressed just as a precaution. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

triplets · 03/11/2013 22:18

A very worrying time for you Mama, it must be very hard.
Well stress factor here today as 10/10. It just got worse, everybody was building up to a complete fall out. In the end I spoke only when I really had to, awful day, awful way to end the half term. I had a major melt down with the boys too, too long a story but basically found out they have been buying and selling when they cannot afford to. Dks way of dealing with it was to explode and bang his fist on the table............dear God what a day. Also poor Hella turned up thinking it was Monday, she is going to a local nursing home Mon and Thurs for the day, this has been arranged by her daughter who lives in Ireland. I promised to take her there on Mondays as otherwise she will forget, she thought it was today.......................Shabs could she come and live with your folks, all under one roof? :o
