no luck on job front here why is it every christmas we end up so broke (before we buy anything) and jobless ? I'm starting to hate this time of year .

It's so bloody cold here prince has 5 layers on and dh is sitting next to me with a blanket and gloves on. Can't get warm and can't put heating on after last year's mammoth bill frightened us into using it for only an hour a day.

Took the dcs to school early today because it's warmer there.

I'm off for a while. I'll be back in the new year when hopefully things in the pixi house have cheered up and the unregulars have come back to the fold.

The Tomster and myself have spent literally all day trying to sort out his Maths Homework. It isin't in any of his text reference books and we couldn't figure out why. We googled everything and it is GCSE Maths....seems they are fastracking his set so they do their Maths GCSE next year instead of year 11.

The teacher is crap. His favourite line is 'I am setting some homework that we haven't covered in class, just have a go and see how you do!!' Then he goes mad when they are all bewildered by it!!

LG&T - how do you do it??????? with all your children in different schools & pre schools etc, all that ferrying around and dropping off and picking up - I am shattered - all those school plays, parties, birthdays - I find this time of year very taxing and stressful must be doing something wrong.

I think we have 7 Christmas Fayre's. Umpteen church performances and school productions. It is a joke.

One of them has to be a star this year. I mean fgs. We have sheep, Mary, wise men, Joseph, Mary, angels but NOOOOO a STAR.

You are a 'star', at least my dh is home daily (just works shift work)

Erin is a star this year, Jack a king and James a narrator and at least with twins I only have to go to one performace which covers 2 of them

My friends 9 year old ds is a squirrel!!!! So I suppose I can be a little thankful.
