Morning girls, morning Shabs...............yeh abit quiet on here, what you all up to that Im not? Feeling mighty fed up atm, we just cannot sit in the same room as each other, snap snap snap!!! No word from the hospital as yet, maybe he will feel better when he does. Feel like going Christmas shopping but have no money, its cold and windy, could iron, could clean the loos but cant be arsed. I started making a sock monkey last night (planned to put one each in dcs stockings to bulk them out). It's coming along rather.....interestingly, although would have been cuter if I had patterened socks rather than plain.

Planning stole an idea from another site to have an elf visit this year and leave dcs little activities to do each day,(gingerbread making/xmas dvds/colouring in etc) and the elf will get up to a bit of mischief (dying the bread blue). Not entirely sure if the idea is or . But if it cuts down on the arguing (he keeps a journal for FC) and keeps them entertained then I'm all for it. My mum bought the dcs advent callendars so he's scheduled to arrive on 1st dec with them.

Pixie - all sounds wonderful to me...you are making fantastic memories for your DC.

Hope your DH gets the job - its crap when the hubby/partner isin't working.

Me too Trips - so disappointed with my life at the moment - I know, reading that back, that sounds selfish and ungrateful, just sick of everybody around me. Everybody wants me to do something - both big and small.

I think disappointed is a good word Shabs, spose that is how I am feeling. Feeling very resentful of the cancer upturning everything. But then truth to tell if he didnt have cancer, if we hadnt lost Matthew I feel sure he would still be the same, grumpy, stubborn, settled in his ways, it drives me mad, and we have an 11 yr age diff. Just long for some excitement.....

One asking for some help /advice re ileostomy reversal, the other to ask what the hell is happening about his lung op, he`s been home a week and not a word! Dcs school didn't do anything for Children in Need this year (new pta chair seems to want to cut back to only winter/summer fair, no other events) . But Prince and I came across a man dressed up Pudsey collecting outside Asda. I gave prince some change and expected him to run a mile (the others are not so keen on people in suits) but he ended up crying all the way round the shop because he wanted to take pudsey home.

I managed to get two skateboards today from Argos for £2.50 the pair (link on moneysaving expert site), so that's nephews sorted for xmas (checked with sil that they were ok to have them), I originally picked them up a little game, which'll now be ds1's birthday present .

And dh has heard that London contracts will be coming through next year, so if he doesn't get the job next week, all hope is not lost, although it would mean only seeing him at weekends again...

Actually thinking about putting money in buckets has reminded me of ds1 (when little) who would put money in buckets then scream for his money back after a few minutes dt2 also went through this stage dd1 just used to point blank refuse to put it in . Don't ya just love kids...

Morning Shabs, morning girls............Sundays, what is it about Sundays that depresses me so? DH not heard a a word from hosp or the three Mc nurses I called, its terrible. He does nothing now but lie in his bed, before he has always wanted to potter, find something to do, its very depressing here:(
