Debt.. if so, how much?

Evening. For a bit of context I worry about money constantly. My husband doesn’t but understands why I do.

I was brought up to save, don’t buy anything without saving first etc. My husband’s family are more live for the day.

Please help me rationalise my constant worry. Do people have debt? My husband tells me everyone does, it’s normal. Then how much is “normal”?

I appreciate it’s a subjective question.

Personally I would love some sort of secure and private support group to help cope with the stress of debt.

I got into a load of credit card debt OP. £17k to be exact, and it took three hard years to pay it off. I started a thread here on the day of my final payment because I was so immensely relieved but too embarrassed to tell people in real life. There are many many people in debt, so many. You can and will get this sorted out!
