@Cactusali that probably is the rate of return you’d have got in savings over that time period as rates have been progressively rising. I think people are making the mistake of hearing the rate us 4% and not remembering that a year ago the prize fund rate was only about 2.5%. I’ve held PB s a while now and on the whole if you hold on you’ll get the published rate over time IF you hold
more than about £24k in bonds

unicornhair · 02/08/2023 08:54

£250 for DH - FH
£175 for me - FH
nothing for DD - new hundred

winnings go into DDs account

EvelynKatie · 02/08/2023 09:12

Nothing on £20,750, so going to remove into savings for guaranteed return now.

lemonyellows · 02/08/2023 09:12

£25 x 2 on about half holding. Starting to get disappointing when don't get the equivalent in interest.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 02/08/2023 09:15

Nothing for me on 23k.
250 for dh in FH.

I've got a savings account which matures in Aug so I always take advantage of whatever interest rate that pays (paltry 1.5% this year but will be 6% when I renew the account) so I'll be sticking a few more k into the bonds to up my chances.

FrogFairy · 02/08/2023 09:24

125 on FH for me.
I am seriously considering pulling out and putting funds into a one year flexible cash ISA and savings account.

SaveThisUsername · 02/08/2023 09:24

3 prizes totalling £125, on 20k holdings.
Our first ever win, very exciting!! :)

VisionOfYou · 02/08/2023 09:25

I won £600 this month, that’s the most I’ve ever won! Very timely as the children have gone through massive growth spurts so that’s new summer clothes and uniform sorted.

lapisamethyst · 02/08/2023 09:33

£200 on FH
Happy with that

WeAreBorg · 02/08/2023 09:39

I got nothing. It’s FINE.

Very pleased that our benevolent OP @Blondeshavemorefun is enjoying this winning streak, it’s very inspirational!

Those of you with (little) DC who have accounts - do you just manage their accounts as though they were yours? Can you just do what you like with them? Opening accounts for the kids is my plan for when I win £100K and need to stash all my money somewhere tax free, like an oligarch.

Carpediem15 · 02/08/2023 09:52

Nothing for me on full holdings 😥
£500 for husband on full holdings.

LegendsBeyond · 02/08/2023 09:55

£125 for me & £75 for DP. Happy with that.

RuthTopp · 02/08/2023 09:55

Full holdings , £325 this month , last month £550 , I'm liking this !

Giraffe1123 · 02/08/2023 09:55

Won £100. Happy with that. Fourth month in a row I've won so definitely on a lucky streak! Have around 8.5k holdings and I think that works out at an equivalent interest rate of about 3.5% so far this year for me.

FiveShelties · 02/08/2023 09:55

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/08/2023 03:37

Boy with ice cream £100. Whoop !!

Well done those who won

Sorry for those who didn't

Congratulations Blondes - excellent news

Year12stressedmum · 02/08/2023 09:57

Nothing for me on 30k I think. When I click on current month it just says 31 days to wait!

Chewbecca · 02/08/2023 10:24

£550 on about £96k (between us). Higher than the 'should be' (or hoped for!) rate of return which is pleasing because we have been lower for the last few months. 🤞for you all.

Gazelda · 02/08/2023 10:38

£50 on £27k. My return over the last year has been poor and I'm torn between taking it out or leaving it in for the monthly excitement.

Ohmylovejune · 02/08/2023 10:40

@WeAreBorg My kids are adults now but I still track winnings as we are very close and have a monthly laugh over them - apart from the big win when, amazingly, we were all on holiday together so my son made me buy fish and chips for tea!

When they were younger it started with 2 smallish inheritances they received from their great grandparents and its acted as a great savings platform for them to add to and save for a house once they were working. I always treated it as their money and their prizes could be reinvested because they didn't have the limit. They actually had an agreement between them that if they won over £500 they'd share it. It never happened.

If you give your kids 50k each then it's their money and any prizes you'll want to put into another account for them. The NSI have a direct saver which is easy but not the best rate.

Also the gifts will fall into your estate still (in full or later in part) in next seven years for IHT purposes should the worst happen to you. You'll probably fall off your perch before then though when you swipe and see 100,000!!!

boatgirl81 · 02/08/2023 11:00

Nothing for me or my husband and we have about £60k between us. Trying not to feel disappointed.

lemonyellows · 02/08/2023 11:06

The fact that you could get £166 interest per month on a 4% interest account on FH is crazy. You wouldn't spend that on the lottery on a monthly basis but you have effectively done that by losing interest to win nothing.

WimbyAce · 02/08/2023 11:07

I got £75 on over half holdings. I know it's better than nothing but a bit disappointed as seen others with bigger prizes from less.

Happiestathome · 02/08/2023 11:07

@WeAreBorg you can put in and take out of children’s premium bonds as you please, until 16. At 16, it disappears from your online account and your child has to fill in a form and get set up online. We removed our eldest’s money (left her own personal savings) prior to 16, as we want her to have it when she is older than this

longtompot · 02/08/2023 11:20

Nothing for us this month (dh on fh and me on £10k) Well done to those who've won🎉

mrsbyers · 02/08/2023 11:29

Mine is not working , get your holders number and check via NS&I website but select prize checker rather than login - my app shows zero , nsi shows £50 but when I log into my account shows £25
