Nothing for me this month 😥

LadyGardenersQuestionTime · 02/03/2023 18:21

Ooh how exciting - £200 on £11k holdings. My best yet and takes me to over 3% this year which I am very pleased about.

@pobparker congratulations, how brilliant for you and your family after such a tough time!

PurplePositivity · 02/03/2023 18:22

£75 for me but nothing for the rest of the family.

33 days until the next draw!

Bittercup · 02/03/2023 19:25

£100 on £10k for me. My first win since November so very happy.

Neddevine · 02/03/2023 19:49

Wow, congratulations to all the winners - some fantastic results!

£75 for me & £100 for DH so not complaining.

Gemini202 · 02/03/2023 19:59

Congrats to the winners!

£225 for me and £175 for Dh both on nearly full holdings. £0 for Ds on £2000.

Feeling good at £400 between us this month.

Holding out for the big win next time.

ShellieEllie · 02/03/2023 20:19

£350 on FH for me this month, very happy with that.

anewbook · 02/03/2023 20:24

@pobparker
wow!
what an amazing win!!
and after such a rotten time too.
congratulations!! And sending you very best wishes for a speedy recovery !

WeAllHaveWings · 02/03/2023 20:39

2 x £100, 2 x £50, 3 x £25 = £375 on one account.
Zero on the other.

That is just over £1k total in the last 2 draws, which is the same as I won in the full previous year!

Congrats to all with wins! Especially the big winners!!!!

pobparker · 02/03/2023 11:15

I cannot believe it
absolutely stunned
after a dreadful spell of bad luck- caught sepsis , been on a ventilator in ICU,
DH and Ds told several times I would not survive ,I have just been discharged after 3 months in hospital and have just found out i have won 50K
I had forgot to check , DS asked me as he won £25
I have £50 k holding

That's fantastic!!
First month on FH here and DH won £250 - he is happy

Babytwodue · 03/03/2023 11:22

Nothing for me again. Only have a few thousand in, but I’ve not won a penny since investing in August.

I do have £20k in savings that will be used up in 12 months time on an extension. I can be guaranteed interest of around £400 over the next year. OR I could invest it and see if it brings me some luck? 🤔

What would you do?

I bought £20k of bonds with some money I inherited, my intention is to buy some more when probate is done and I get the final amount. I will then leave the full holding in for a year to see if I win more than I would get from an investment account. I quite like the excitement of checking to see if I have won anything, despite being unlucky this month!

alrightnowthen · 03/03/2023 11:37

Wow, congratulations on the big wins this month. Only £25 for me. Anyone else having trouble logging into NS and I website? It keeps sending me in circles.

I'm in a similar predicament, took most of my PB's out as the interest rate on my savings account was increasing much quicker however I'm now getting FOMO now that people are seeing the effects of the recent prize rate changes.

I'll be at risk of going over £1000 interest next year and therefore will need to pay tax on the excess so I think I might give PB's another go. My plan is to move my money back in at the end of this month and then see how I do in my first 3 draws, if I've done crap it will go back into my savings accounts but if I do ok I'll keep the PB's. That way I won't have interest for 3 months and should stay under £1000.

(I know I could move money into an ISA instead but I'm missing the thrill of PB's Grin).

So in your situation I would probably do similar, trial it for a few months and see how you get on. It's easy enough to move the money in/out.

WhatHaveIFound · 03/03/2023 13:15

£300 for me & £175 for DH on £40k holding each. Pretty pleased with that.

Congratulations to this board's big winners!

Personally, i would put it in the bonds, but it depends on your circumstances and aspirations.

For me, the increased chance of, maybe just maybe, winning an amount that could change my life, means more to me than the difference in interest I may receive elsewhere (though it does tempt me at times)

Hard isn’t it, as I quite like getting £30 a month or so from it just sitting there 😁
But I also love the thrill each month, my husband laughs at me checking it when I wake up!
I might do what you’ve said and do it for 3-6 months and see what my return is.
Thank you!

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/03/2023 14:30

I would put in to pb as I love the thrill of what if and I only have a few

And yes made me wait to get online to pb. Said they weee busy

If you have the app, you just need to log on. A smiling lady on a bicycle will let you know if you have won.

I think you might have had to sign up for emails, but my email for £25 came yesterday.

wineandsunshine · 03/03/2023 20:12

As much as I would bloody love a win, I also love hearing about the bigger wins!

Well done to those who got a decent amount 👍

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/03/2023 20:18

I’ve won £100. Does anyone know how long does it take to reach your bank? Also, I signed up for an email notification from them, but haven’t received an email.

TenoringBehind · 03/03/2023 20:35

Slow - usually at least 3 working days.
