£250 today. Worked out yesterday that I’ve made about 1.4% per annum tax free since 2019.

@AutisticLegoLover

Is it because I only have such a small bond?

Yes it is. With a £5 bond your chances of winning are viertually nil. If you had £10,000 bonds you would have 10,000 chances of winning, rather than 5 chances.

TenoringBehind · 02/03/2023 06:44

£75 for me
£50 for dc2
£150 for dc1

I was bought a £5 premium bond in the 80s and I've never won anything at all. My grandparents used to win all the time. Is it because I only have such a small bond? I don't understand them at all.

Think of each £1 bond as a raffle ticket. It is automatically put in the barrel each month with everyone else's £1 bonds. You have 5. Some people have 50,000. The raffle tickets are then drawn to allocate the prizes posted above.

cptartapp · 02/03/2023 06:46

Nothing for me or DH on around £25k between us.

Ladybug14 · 02/03/2023 06:46

@BBlondeshavemorefun could you (or anyone) explain to me:

Full Holding - does that mean £50k is saved in premium bonds?

I've just invested a little in premium bonds for the first time - how do I find out if I've won anything?

Is it a monthly draw? On which day of the month? The 1st?

Sorry to be dim!

Confused

Nothing again, that's a long dry spell since last August, only £4k but I've increased the monthly investment to £225 from £25 so it should start to build the pot (and my chances) as of next month.

AutisticLegoLover · 02/03/2023 06:55

@eurochick thank you. I'm thinking of buying some more.

Roseyleaf · 02/03/2023 06:56

£50 this month on £45k holding. Since they announced more prizes I've been winning less.

Screwedupworld · 02/03/2023 07:16

£100 for me on £6k holding - complete surprise. That’s £125 on two months!

Minikievs · 02/03/2023 07:23

£100 for DD
Nothing for DS or me (again)
Total holding of £23.6k between us

RockaLock · 02/03/2023 07:23

I'm not seeing the higher prize fund filter down to me yet!!

Nothing since November, and just £25 today, on £20k ish. A bit disappointing!

Bimblesalong · 02/03/2023 07:30

Nothing for about 3 years. I only have about 3k so should stick some more in.

anewbook · 02/03/2023 07:34

Nothing for me on £6000.
Last win was £25 9 months ago.
Congratulations to all the winners! 🥳

Jellifer · 02/03/2023 07:36

I got happy bike lady and got 4 prizes this month, £200 on full holdings

Caterina99 · 02/03/2023 07:44

£125 for me on 25k. Happy enough with that.

Nothing for DH or the kids thoughe

Veryfishy · 02/03/2023 07:45

£200 on full holdings , I was really pleased ….
And then DH checked his … £750 !
luckily we have a joint bank account 👍

DurhamDurham · 02/03/2023 07:45

£100 for husband
£25 for me which is a complete swap around from last month.

We have the same amount of premium bonds and are just about neck and neck in winnings.

ShanghaiDiva · 02/03/2023 07:48

£100 for me and £600 for dh which was a nice surprise as it’s his birthday today.

spacechimp79 · 02/03/2023 07:48

£100 for me on 23K. Not won anything since September so relieved to not be a loser again.

DeathWinsAGolfish · 02/03/2023 07:50

£125 for me and £125 for DH
DD1 - not checked yet
DD2 - £0

Chittering · 02/03/2023 07:50

0 again on 5k, have managed to get an extra 4k squirrelled in this month from car sale so hoping 9k is luckier in March

Justsaying22 · 02/03/2023 07:50

My first month in the draw. I have £100. £15,000 invested.

SweetSakura · 02/03/2023 07:53

£25 for me (on £10k holdings). First in a few months so better than nothing I guess!

RachelSq · 02/03/2023 07:54

I got two prizes this month on FH, £50 and £100 so £150 in total.

Definitely not too shabby!

I was wavering about withdrawing cash for fixed interest after a string of bad luck, but a few months of good prizes means I’m feeling better about leaving it in PB so still in there with the chance to win big!
