It's moot point @swifty1974 not mute. Although speaking of mute ....

Yes! And maybe I'll mansplain about apostrophes too!

Andromachehadabadday · 18/06/2022 08:45

@swifty1974 You have a few issues with how someone has planned to use their own money?

Really? You seem to be under the misconception that we are using PBS because we don’t know any better.

Which is entirely wrong. There’s many reasons I have, for the short term, a big holding of PBs. The least important reason being that it’s actually quite fun.

You aren’t being helpful. You are being patronising. Because you have decided that people are less knowledgable about you and simply don’t know better until you show them the light.

RavenousBugblatter · 18/06/2022 08:56

Maybe the thread should be re-named 'PBs results-watch; not whether they're a good idea or not' 🥱.

PupInAPram · 25/06/2022 13:49

Just to push the re-set button, I'm excited for my big win next week 😁

UrsulaPandress · 25/06/2022 13:58

I really really really could do with a win. I want to have my hair coloured.

PriamFarrl · 25/06/2022 14:03

swifty1974 · 16/06/2022 07:53

But if you want to get all uppety about it knock yourself out....Im am genuinely just trying to help

It’s funny how it’s only ever woman who are talked about as being ‘uppity’ isn’t it. Like bossy.

stayingpositiveifpossible · 25/06/2022 14:28

Won 25 in June.

I'm very sensible about it - for the amount of time that I have had my bonds 25 is more than the interest I would have earned in a standard savings account.

RubbishDay · 25/06/2022 14:58

Looking forward to next week 😁🤞

Eaumyword · 25/06/2022 15:39

Me too! I'm laid up with Covid atm so am dreaming of how we'd spend the big one! It would be just amazing.
On a practical note, we're 11mo in and ROI is 1.9% so far and I'm delighted with that 🥰

UrsulaPandress · 25/06/2022 16:00

Uppity my arse 👍

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/06/2022 10:24

There’s always a chance the big one may be me 😂

I thought it was my turn for the big prize? Maybe there's two and we can have one each?

I really really really could do with a win. I want to have my hair coloured.

I'm saving my prolific survey money to fund my hair, for May and June I've made just over £100 and my hairdresser charges me £90 for colour, highlights, cut and blow dry so I'm OK for this month.

PriamFarrl · 26/06/2022 11:41

It has to be my turn. My oldest bonds are from 1957 and I’ve never won a single penny.

Think I've heard you can exchange your old bonds for newer numbers! May bring you luck 🤷‍♀️

anotherbrewplease · 26/06/2022 16:32

How many bonds have you got ? @PriamFarrl

if it’s like £50 I guess it isn’t too surprising you haven’t won

PriamFarrl · 26/06/2022 16:42

The bonds from 57 are actually my mum’s but they accidentally got transferred into my name. She thought they were mine and sent them to me when I got married to change my name. Which I did. Fast forward 20 years and I have lost them. I decided to set up an online account to find them digitally and buy more. It was then it turned out they were from 1957. It is only 2 bonds so it’s no surprise they haven’t won.

RavenousBugblatter · 26/06/2022 17:17

It's an urban legend re newer bonds winning more often than older bonds - the only difference is that people with more bonds are more likely to win than people with fewer bonds.

I know. I’m only passing comment. And yes it’s only £2 but over 60 years you’d think there would be something.

RavenousBugblatter · 26/06/2022 23:02

No, I wouldn't expect to win something from 2x Premium bonds, even over 60 years.

LAHallucinations · 27/06/2022 00:53

With a £2 investment and the current odds of 24,500 to 1, you'd expect to win about once every 1,020 years. Still, at least you've been entered into the draw every month, and people do sometimes win big with tiny amounts.

boatgirl81 · 27/06/2022 13:04

There was the million pound winner who won with just £17 total holdings so it is possible, each pound bond has the same chance.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/06/2022 14:09

Oh def a chance

someone has to win
