Back when I had a 'mere' technical manual JOB, which the bots are so disdainful of, initial training on new equipment (you know, like real, high quality certified training that adds to your employability should you choose to move on) would take us to whichever country the manufacturer was based in, where we'd be put up in much nicer rooms than the bots have to put up with. Not only was it 'all inclusive' (including also hire cars, outings and activities such as skiing at the weekends if we chose), we'd also get a per diem on top of the wages we were being paid, as well as further time off in lieu added to our holiday entitlement for the (not worked) weekends...
None of us felt the need to post endlessly about it, nor were we 'so grateful to our amaaayzing company' - it was just bloody normal.
And, oh, we'd also get productivity bonuses every year, but we didn't have to parade across a stage to get them, or cart them around like a yoga mat, or tell the world about them, or get them in a foreign currency and have to pay conversion charges. They landed in our bank accounts and that's it.
Our holidays were at a time of our choosing, to a place of our choosing, with people of our own choosing, and we'd get full holiday pay while at it. We'd certainly not be doing any working in nooks and crannies of time.
My botted ex knew this, but still chose to be in floods of gratitude to FLP when she was attending ridiculous 'trainings' (which she paid for), staying in the cheapest hotel available sharing a room with another bot she barely knew (which she paid for) after travelling by the cheapest means available (which she paid for) and missing the family weekend (which she didn't get paid for). Go figure...
