My son is 7 and has £100 of premium bonds that my brother got for him when he was born in 2014

He has never won anything yet Confused

DS got £100 of premium bonds as a christening present in 2006. He’s won 2x £25 in the past 15 years.

With average luck someone with a £100 investment might win one £25 prize every 29 years or so. So your son might be waiting a while longer!

But then there was someone on this month’s winners list who won £5000 with a £100 holding, so you never know.

I had £15 as a child and won quite a few £25s with that though prize fund and inflation was much higher then. Think there's 1 in 34,500 chance of winning each month so with a small amount could be a long time.

I was bought £7 worth in the 60s for my christening. Last year I finally won £25.

I just bought £5,000! Fed up with crap interest on m rainy day account. Don’t get included in the draw til September but I’ll keep you posted!

I've had £102 in premium bonds pretty much since I was born, and have won 1 solitary £25 a few years ago.

But in May we put in another £20k.

One of the July £1m was won by a £20k bond bought in Feb, with a total holding of something like £20,125.

So by my logic, that means I should be getting a knock on my door sometime in the next couple of months, right? Grin

5 days to go!

Dh won 3 x £25 last month and wins small amounts most months on £42k.
I've got £20k in. I win every couple of months, either £25 or £50.

I enjoy the tiny thrill of wondering how lucky we will be this month.

Pretty sure they are very discreet. For example
If someone else is at home with you they will ask to speak to you in private before they tell you who they are and why they are there.

I have the app. It says there is another 2 days to wait for results on there. I thought they drew the numbers on the first of the month or the next working day if it was at the weekend. Then the result is on the app the next day.

But I think the actual draw takes place a few.days before the end of the month to give them time to contact the big ticket winners first.
