It's a brand new month so have started a new thread.

I've had few emails from Neevo over the weekend offering work, however I still haven't received payment for tasks I did at the beginning of May so am giving them a wide berth. Anyone else?

@BecauseOfIndia Use the tab timer I posted so you don't time out. Right click on the URLs and load them as another tab rather than a new window. You don't need to look at all the tabs. I look at the urls addresses instead, and only look at the tabs if it's a youtube video or something I can't figure out from the url. It takes me 2 mins max for each item.

ruralwanderer · 19/06/2020 09:41

I hold down Ctrl and click each link - they all open in a new tab without leaving the main page. I then close any tabs that have errors or don't load properly and quickly review the rest, rank them, hit submit then right click the main page tab and click Close All Tabs To The Right. This gets me through it pretty quickly Smile

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 19/06/2020 10:38

ctrl link didn't work for me, it opened all the links but when I tried to submit it said I hadn't visited them! But I am on a mac so might be different.

Thanks for the tip though, I was excited for a brief moment!

dirtyfries · 19/06/2020 10:48

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock try command + click on Mac

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 19/06/2020 10:52

@dirtyfries that works, so much easier thanks to you both!

MrsWombat · 19/06/2020 11:05

Also if you are working on a laptop it's worth investing in a bluetooth mouse as it's so much easier to click stuff with.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 19/06/2020 11:32

Took a break to walk dog and kids and it's run out. Grr!

MrsWombat · 19/06/2020 11:56

I'm easily pleased today. Just done an efficient 15 mins of potato with two tabs open, in the zone etc and the rate worked out at £11.50/hour. Obviously, I couldn't keep that speed up for an entire hour but it's good to know I can now make around the London living wage (£10.75) doing it.

tinyradish · 19/06/2020 12:05

W ran out before I managed to get on! So frustrating. The toddler really needs to nap earlier Grin

527040minutes · 19/06/2020 12:07

If working with a mouse with a scroll thing in the middle if you click each link with the scroll thing it opens them as a new tab automatically. Works on Mac and Windows. I use the "I don't care about cookies" extension with this and didn't time out once with this lot :)

seizethecuttlefish · 19/06/2020 12:58

Was just congratulating myself on how well I've done over the last few months and my electricity supplier from last year just hit me with an £800 bill. Is crying acceptable? I see long days of work in my future! Angry

justtheonethen · 19/06/2020 13:24

@seizethecuttlefish oh no that's rubbish Sad

RainRainGoAway2020 · 19/06/2020 13:58

@commonasmukk I’ve still not received mine. Do you mind telling me what address it came from? Hotmail’s spam filter regularly stops me from receiving things.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 19/06/2020 14:47

Just done the robot shooting and it worked first time. That's never happened before! Very easy 10 mins work for 15 euros. Its on clickworker.

AliciaWhiskers · 19/06/2020 15:05

Can someone who fills in a tax return help me out with something? Trying to complete mine and don't know what to put for how many employers I have. Do you list them all separately, in which case I would have about 10, or can they all get lumped together? Would be happy to discuss via PM if preferable. Thanks!

Wolfff · 19/06/2020 15:07

If it for Appen and the like you are self employed, so just one source.

AliciaWhiskers · 19/06/2020 15:09

Yes it's for like Appen and Neevo etc. So you just call it self employed and lump it all together?

Wolfff · 19/06/2020 15:11

Yes. Call it social media consulting or whatever takes your fancy. Keep your records for the year in case HMRC randomly pick it up, but you can lump them all together as self employment.

AliciaWhiskers · 19/06/2020 15:15

Perfect, thanks so much.

seizethecuttlefish · 19/06/2020 16:01

Anyone on Ipsos MORI? Got an invite but wondered if anyone had installed and used the app?

BecauseOfIndia · 19/06/2020 16:07

@AliciaWhiskers You just list yourself as a sole trader and if it asks for a business name you just put your own name.

Thanks everyone for the w*i tips. I did the USA ones and hated every minute of it. It's so boring I just can't do it. Managed 10 mins before giving up!

tootyfruitypickle · 19/06/2020 16:32

I've qualified for T which was ok. Looked at C qualification and didn't bother as I didn't even understand the guidelines!

Also registered for A**s but it looks quite a heavy commitment (6 hours a day) and I work FT so not sure that one will work out but if the work isnt too often it should be ok p'haps. However I do object to the ones that expect you to spend hour qualifying (says 3-5 hours) so I will probably not bother tbc. It depends when it comes through - if kids back at school I can probably fit it in but at the moment what with working ft and home schooling there is no chance really.

I much prefer the easiness of W* and B**

MrsWombat · 19/06/2020 16:36

@AliciaWhiskers Appen etc don't employ us, we are independent contractors so don't fill out the employment section unless you have an actual job as well. You lump it all together under self-employment. I call myself a virtual assistant as I do that too.

527040minutes · 19/06/2020 17:34

@MrsWombat how do you find VAing? I've been looking into it for a while but nervous about taking the jump!

MrsWombat · 19/06/2020 17:58

@MrsWombat I'm doing very badly and make more money from this! Every client I've had has been a nightmare. Take a look at this group and the associated website as it's fab and I'm not doing anything they've suggested which is probably why I'm rubbish. Grin www.facebook.com/groups/vahandbookers/
