It's a brand new month so have started a new thread.

I've had few emails from Neevo over the weekend offering work, however I still haven't received payment for tasks I did at the beginning of May so am giving them a wide berth. Anyone else?

@Starlight2004 I don't know which project you mean but generally they take a week or so to come through assuming they need you. If you ask in the chat room of your project they might know more.

I've managed to do 25 mins of Bane so far this morning. It seems to be going ok.

There are 2 different jobs now, the mobile one has started but the other has been pushed back to 22nd.

You are best off looking at the project chat on their website as it's much easier to talk freely.

I absolutely hate the new B**e! Really struggling to get used to it and keep timing out.

Yeah, they're not going to get accurate results in 2 mins. I did an hour before work, awful and tedious.

I'm doing it now and it is primarily guess work from me to get it done in time.

I've done 3 hours on B* and am finding it ok, only stopping now as the 3 year old is getting very antsy. Hoping there'll be work left to do over lunch as he'll be angelic for an hour while he's eating.

30 mins of B* and timed out 3 times. I thought I was going to like the new system but I’m not keen. I don’t see how this is going to improve accuracy at all.

Will try again later. I want a good track record with Appen so I get offered better jobs.

R.E Bane, with mine the majority I have been able to make an educated guess from all the previews so I've been able to do each one in under a minute then I have a 30 second breather before submitting. Having a separate 2 minute timer on the side helps. I wouldn't want to do more than half an hour in a row as it's definitely horrible! I've been using the Toggl timer to track what I've been doing (after the last fiasco) and it uses the pomodoro technique so lets me know when 25 mins is up so I can take a break. I've been doing Potato and uTest this morning too so I don't know if there's any data left.

I wondered why I kept timing out, had it in my head that it was 3 minutes rather than 2. Surely the quality is going to be terrible with only 2..

Someone will grass you up and the instructions will be changed retrospectively to say we have 1 min only. Then invoices changed, payment postponed blah blah

Completely agree with the comments about the new B**e - they will get poor work/results with this time limit. There's no time to actually review anything! I have been rushing to submit plus finding it incredibly boring whereas before I didn't mind it at all. If they could just up it to 5 mins at least??

I managed to do an Intellizoom test this morning. I know they've been quiet recently, but they are still there. Still waiting for my first User Testing test to be reviewed.

What's the deal with prolific?

I have the alarm buzzer think that sounds when a new survey comes through. But quite often, even though I'am on my laptop at the same time and click onto it literally straight away all the places have already gone? I genuinely couldn't be any quicker.

Some people must get them coming through before other people?

RE B**e Was there a trick for opening all the links at once? I did about 7 minutes and got so stressed I've had to stop for a coffee!

The alert on Prolific never worked for me either @ReturnofSaturn I keep a Prolific tab open and when you get a survey come in a number appears in brackets

Unfortunately I think that's just what it's like with Prolific. If a test comes through with space for 50 participants but 200 people are logged in, some of us are going to miss out. I think they're just that popular. It's happened to me numerous times.

@lilmishap you don't need to open them all unless you need more detail than is given in the little blurb. They said in an email it was to make things quicker and easier as people had complained about opening them all.

It’s out for work! Think I’ve done an hour and quarter in work breaks. So irritating

Oh for goodness sake. Finally settled down for B* and it ran out after 9 tasks. Grr.

Managed 3.5 hours before the work ran out. Very grateful for that! I've been doing some work helping clear a nettle and bramble infested forest overgrown garden for the last three weeks which is now finished so hoping to get back into the online work now.

By the time I’ve reset my password and rearranged all my actual work it always runs out !

Managed 30 mins of b this morning before I had to go out. I don't understand why they said this was a 20 hour a week project when each time it's so bloody short 🙄
