Hope you’re all well and have had a fantastic month of money making in April. And of course, welcome to anyone just joining us. I’ve finally managed to hopefully put together a more comprehensive list of absolutely everything I can think of to help people maximise their earnings in these uncertain times, some are referral links where me/the user earn some sort of reward, but you are under no obligation at all to use them. As always, referral links are more than welcome

I just want to get this out of the way and say that please, I know times are really tough for so many people, and tensions are high, but please don’t take it out on others on this thread. I really want this to be a place of support, rather than people ripping into each other in frustration. People on here also aren’t being intentionally secretive or evasive about work they are doing, it’s simply a case of not wanting to risk breaching their NDA and losing income.

When you 'register' for a job with Neevo. How do you actually start the job? I can't find an option to start it.

Catatemyhomework · 05/05/2020 19:08

@ReturnofSaturn, they usually send an email with a link to the job. Then you can get started. Once you leave the job, you can then re-enter either via the Neevo dashboard or via the email link.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 05/05/2020 19:19

Whoop, finally got SRT access! It's showing as queue unavailable though. So either it's empty or I haven't got access yet!

rhij86 · 05/05/2020 20:12

@spockpaperscissorslizardrock there are still some in there but they are all assigned, hopefully it's just taking a while for the access to filter through (also that the queue is replenished in the morning 🤞🏻)

seizethecuttlefish · 05/05/2020 20:42

I've finished neevo voice recordings but reading out random code was strange. Doubtful I'll get paid for it all but not bad for a couple of hours work and a nice change.

Missing Oz as there's not been anything on the queue when I've tried. Off to do my regular project and then a couple of hours of potato which looks slow tonight.

Yes, I got the emails for two jobs to register. But when I go onto them and click 'start task' this is the message I keep getting ''no more tasks available- go to dashboard

Frenchdoors1 · 05/05/2020 21:49

@ReturnofSaturn
Looks like they've all gone when you logged in to do them.
That's happened to me.

Catatemyhomework · 05/05/2020 21:49

@ReturnofSaturn, I see what you mean. I have that jmessage for the Australian tasks they keep emailing me. I have had three reminders in the last 2 weeks that these tasks are available to me. However, when I click on that link I get6 that message too. I have emailed them tonight and explained this. Hopefully I will get a response soon. They are pretty good at responding to emails in my opinion. You could try messaging them maybe.

Catatemyhomework · 05/05/2020 21:50

Sorry for typos

Frenchdoors1 · 05/05/2020 21:52

@Catatemyhomework
Yeah, same here.
I've been sent tasks and by the time I logged in they were gone, or I did like half a dozen.

Adelais · 05/05/2020 22:31

Question for potato people... how do you actually get paid?! I started last month and don’t recall giving my bank or Paypal details. I read something about submitting an invoice but how and when do I do that? How do I know how much I’m owed? Would really appreciate some help.

seizethecuttlefish · 05/05/2020 22:54

@Adelais they'll send you a list of tasks and you invoice. There's a good guide on atlassin. Which I've probably spelled completely wrong. They are really slick with it.

Otterses · 06/05/2020 08:04

@Adelais you'll be sent a statement, the guide with time frames/how to is under the invoicing tab in atlassisan/confluence Smile

Hiro app may be worth a try, hearing lots of people getting £5 amazon vouchers off there! I didn't win one, but maybe someone here will. You just download, put in mine/someone else's referral code, click through a few random options about tech you do/don't have to secure your home and you can claim a prize.

Hey! I just joined the waiting list for Hiro. They’re building home insurance that rewards you for owning smart tech. Check it out, and be sure to use the referral code 'kat262' when signing up! - gethiro.com

Thank you @Otterses and @seizethecuttlefish . I’m glad they tell you how much your owed. Will have a look on atlassian too.

MrsPretzels · 06/05/2020 08:50

Clickworkers - when does uhrs pay out? I can now see my balance on the clickworker homepage but the payable bit is still 0

Dimsummummy · 06/05/2020 08:51

Hi I’m a long time lurker and don’t usually post. Firstly thank you I to all you amazing ladies for all of your ideas and suggestions which I have been following for 12 months, it has been a life saver for me financially (and especially now as a self employed cleaner with no work/no ability to work as I’m nearly 8 weeks into Coronavirus recovery with very limited energy). So thank you from the bottom of my heart 😊.

I’ve just used @Otterses referral code for hiro and won a £5 Amazon voucher. My referral code is ‘daw455’ if anybody fancies giving it a go.

Otterses · 06/05/2020 08:56

@Dimsummummy

YAY! Grin delighted to hear that!

Thanks 😊

mrssnow82 · 06/05/2020 10:29

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock - thanks for using my link - nothing has appeared on my account though. I am guessing that you would have had to deposit £1 to get your own referral link. Weird!

Does anyone know if it takes time for referrals to come through or should it be instant?

Screenburn · 06/05/2020 12:15

Just completed my first ever project on Freelancer - it's good to know newbies can get awarded work! Just a small proofreading job, but at a decent hourly rate. Hoping that I'll get a good review from this and it will be a good side earner...

MoreMoneyPlease · 06/05/2020 12:20

@Screenburn Well done! I've registered but haven't applied for any jobs yet. How did you know how to price it/how did you 'sell' yourself etc. Would be good to know how to get started!

Screenburn · 06/05/2020 14:05

@MoreMoneyPlease Thanks! For my first couple of bids (NB: I've only had one offered so far) I looked at the lowest bid for the project that actually looked decent (i.e. like the freelancer had actually read the brief; it looks like many don't and are 'businesses' just spamming the page for as much work as they can get) and then, if it wasn't too low to make it worthwhile for me, undercut that bid by a couple of quid. I have a good idea how long it will take me to do stuff from my working life, so can give good estimates to employers.

As for selling myself, I'm not great at that, but on the bid itself I say hello and that I'm a native English speaker (this seems important to a lot of employers) and set out what skills of mine from my working life are relevant to the specific project. Saying you work efficiently and with a friendly manner can't hurt either I reckon!
