Wasn't sure where to put this - are all the schools using edenred now for FSM vouchers? And is everyone having problems?

We didn't get any last week and haven't had any this week so far.

Initially when the schools ordered them they cam immediately but now edenred have got involved it's all gone tits up! I'm relying on that money this week Sad

I'm sorry to hear this, my eh is a headteacher & he says that the Edenred website is unusable. He was able to authorize vouchers last week but now site just keeps crashing & no tech support available.

carriebreadshaw · 15/04/2020 09:43

That's useful to know from their side, thanks. I didn't think it was a school issue as like I say, they had it all under control until edenred got involved. I hope it can get sorted soon - there must be tons of people in my situation 😔

DH is out doing the big shop at the moment, I'll check with him again when he comes home. Fingers crossed it gets sorted soon though.

dementedpixie · 15/04/2020 09:55

Our council (scotland) is doing them through the paypoint system in shops

carriebreadshaw · 15/04/2020 09:56

@dementedpixie that sounds like a much better way. Our government of course has outsourced it to an incompetent organisation- just to make a change!

Thanks @DrudgeJedd

These massive backlogs on the system. My school ordered them on Monday 6th April. I got an email around midnight last night to register for them but it then takes another 24hrs to get them.

HelenaJustina · 15/04/2020 09:59

Edenred closed their website on Thursday and completely rebuilt it over the weekend. They are asking schools not to submit more requests at the moment while they deal with the back log. They hoped all those submitted before Thursday last week would be processed by yesterday. When my secretary joined the queue to validate some of the ones for our school, she was 6459th in the queue. As a business/system they seem to have pitched for the tender without any real idea of the quantity of work involved!

eyeoresancerre · 15/04/2020 10:02

I'm not sure they give the vouchers out for the holidays. I think it's just term time as school meals are term time only. You should get a voucher next week when the holidays end. Week beginning 20th April. That's what are school has been told.

carriebreadshaw · 15/04/2020 10:21

@eyeore that's not right - the government extended it to school holidays.

It's the not knowing that's worst. I promised my kids I'd go shopping tomorrow as was told we'd have two weeks worth... now it might be just one week worth, or nothing

@HelenaJustina like people working in schools haven't got enough on their plates right now without having to deal with this clusterfuck on top of it all!

OP, are you saying that you don't now have food for your kids lunches? If so, can you contact th local food Banks?

@soontobe hardly anything really... but our food bank is out of everything. They hope to have supplies from Friday.

@carriebreadshaw thank you for letting me know - I'm going to speak to our school about it now. I'm so sorry you're going through this.

carriebreadshaw · 15/04/2020 10:52

Thanks eyeore and yes do speak to them. It's sounds like this problem is nationwide so you may not get them for a while but at least when they do eventually come you won't have missed out on these weeks

My school emailed me a voucher this morning that I need to redeem on the edenred website but it just says Im in a queue for ages and nothing happens. I've tried 3 times today, on there now and have been for 40mins and nothings happening 🤷🏼‍♀️ anyone managed to get on there?

carriebreadshaw · 16/04/2020 08:24

Same here - was so relieved when one of the vouchers at least (I'm due 3) arrived this morning but when I go to claim it is just says the page will refresh in 15 seconds but never does...

For anyone who saw me say I had no food, a family friend had sent me some money for a shop today so the kids are okay xx

steamboatwilly123 · 16/04/2020 08:37

I've just managed to redeem mine just now, but obviously dont have the voucher yet. Might be worth a try again? I did have to wait 5 minutes in a queue to get on the site.

THATscurryfungeBITCH · 16/04/2020 08:49

Will they be back dated does anyone know? And when to?

AvoidingRealHumans · 16/04/2020 08:55

I've just redeemed mine too thankfully. Had to wait 10mins to get on to the site and says up to 24hrs for the voucher to come through.

carriebreadshaw · 16/04/2020 09:03

I think as long as your school has been ordering them they should all come through eventually as they are pushed through the system
