Edenred school meal vouchers

carriebreadshaw · 15/04/2020 09:37

Wasn't sure where to put this - are all the schools using edenred now for FSM vouchers? And is everyone having problems?

We didn't get any last week and haven't had any this week so far.

Initially when the schools ordered them they cam immediately but now edenred have got involved it's all gone tits up! I'm relying on that money this week Sad

I had my code from Edenred on Wednesday this week. I applied for the voucher and they have come through today but only for £25 (I have 3 kids entitled to FSMs). Not sure whats going on as originally they sent me 2 emails to claim £30 on them each. It was alot easier when the schools were dealing with it as the gift card was in my inbox within a few minutes.

carriebreadshaw · 17/04/2020 13:18

That makes no sense does it... you'd think £45 would make sense if only one week had come through but £25 Confused

Our school was really on it when they were self issuing too

I have had another gift card for £10 in my inbox. Sender is coming up as Tillo and then Edenred is mentioned in the message.
Im assuming the codes I got from Edenred are for my older 2 at secondary school as my daughters primary school have sent messages out that they are still waiting for codes.

THATscurryfungeBITCH · 17/04/2020 14:37

We have still have nothing from our primary

Secondary gave us a voucher before easter of their own doing

HelenaJustina · 18/04/2020 09:40

@THATscurryfungeBITCH do check your junk/spam folder as we’ve had issues with the emails going there for some of our families.

THATscurryfungeBITCH · 22/04/2020 05:57

Nothing in my spam yet

Had email from both schools on Mon/Tue saying vouchers have been ordered but no signs yet

exLtEveDallas · 22/04/2020 06:25

Edenred is an absolute clusterfuck of a site. Our school has only just got the ecodes for the vouchers applied for on 14 Apr. To be able to get the vouchers for our parents that do not have email/internet I had to log on at 5am yesterday. Once activated they came through quickly, but getting on to the site during school hours means a wait of over an hour. Our IT team were going to apply for the next lot yesterday out of hours so God knows when they will come through.

The system we used before was so much simpler and allowed parents without email to receive codes via text. I’ve gone from having to print 4 for parents without phones/internet to having to print 32. Why on earth does our Government assume that everyone is online - some of our parents can even get a 3G signal.

It’s an absolute farce.

TiredMummyXYZ · 22/04/2020 06:30

I’m a teacher and a lot of our parents have been having problems with the Edenred voucher scheme. It is worth checking your junk folders and also using the search function to look for Edenred but there have been some delays as well. If you’re struggling, let your school know and they may be able put you in contact with local food banks and similar x

SpideyMom · 22/04/2020 17:40

Sorry if this has been asked but are all schools using the same system? Our school notified us the other day that we should be receiving an email soon with our code, and that they were ordered on 18th. They were trying to do it over the easter holidays but were unsuccessful. So are the vouchers from the date they applied or when the government confirmed the vouchers were available? Are there vouchers always done by the week, or weeks etc? We have been told nothing about the process, just that we will be receiving emails soon

AvoidingRealHumans · 22/04/2020 18:14

I got my first one last week that had been backdated to the 23rd march, it said on the email that it was for one week.
We should be getting them weekly but due to issues with edenred processing the schools orders we are having to wait.

SpideyMom · 22/04/2020 18:24

It sounds like a nightmare

exLtEveDallas · 22/04/2020 21:08

We are doing them in 3 week blocks. Parents got the two Easter weeks yesterday (despite ordering on 14th). We’ve ordered again today for 3 weeks, God knows when they’ll come in. I was on the site today queuing from 0830 until finally getting in at 10am (I was number 670 in the queue). Even when I got in it took about 5 mins per mouse click to do each action.

The vouchers seem to last for a month. Be VERY careful when you log in etc. If you make a mistake with your email address you cannot amend it later and Admin have to wait for 30 DAYS to be able to cancel and reissue.

Fucking ridiculous.

(And only our bloody government could give us Brexit, then sign us up to a French company that has terrible reviews rather than going with a British company that was doing a bloody great job before the Gov got involved)

SpideyMom · 22/04/2020 21:18

Oh I wont expect to get it anytime soon then. They only applied for them on the 18th and I dont know if thats from the start of the new term or for Easter.
I'm due my first furloughed wage and I am dreading it. I've never known my child eat so much. So like many others, these vouchers will be a real help

SpideyMom · 23/04/2020 12:03

Sorry new question, are reception, yr1 and yr2 entitled to these vouchers as they automatically get free school meals anyway

AvoidingRealHumans · 23/04/2020 12:12

No, they get universal school meals which is for everyone, the free school meals are based on family income.

If you would be entitled to fsm as a family anyway and have applied then they should get the voucher based on family income.

SpideyMom · 23/04/2020 12:14

I'm on a low income but as I receive working tax credit I cannot apply

Bakedbeanhead · 23/04/2020 12:28

I work in a school office and are ordering the vouchers in 2 week batches. We ordered the families Tesco vouchers before Easter out of the school budget to fill the gap before Edenred got involved.
To be honest I have been shocked at how bad the website is, crashing and really slow. It took me a week to load one lot of vouchers. I know they weren’t expecting the traffic, but come on they must have had some idea.
There was a notice out to say the site is now open 24 hours so I might stay up in my dressing gown and slippers and try to sort them tonight! Once you can get them through families seem to be able to redeem them quickish.

Our families really need this money, so I feel responsible, but god the site is really shite 😢

AvoidingRealHumans · 23/04/2020 14:22

Ahh spideymom you won't be entitled then.
I applied for my oldest before he went into year 3 and then 2 days later started a new job, as I applied before becoming employed he is entitled to fsm until the end of year 6 despite me not being entitled anymore due to working tax credits.

SpideyMom · 23/04/2020 20:13

Working tax credit always seems to be the thing that makes me ineligible for anything, despite my income still being low.

Nevermind, we will have to manage

THATscurryfungeBITCH · 24/04/2020 05:56

spidey i agree it is rubbish about wtc and doesnt make much sense as if you were on UC you would probably get fsm! My dc get fsm and we are on wtc but i think similar happened with us as with avoiding

So i had messages from both schools on monday / tuesday saying should be hearing from Edenred soon but still nothing

SpideyMom · 24/04/2020 10:27

Yes I agree. I will be moved over the Universal Credit at some point so then I will be in the correct one. It's always WTC though. I earn no where near the threshold of just over £16k. So many companies have told me to apply for help/reductions over the years but when I tell them I receive WTC it's a straight refusal. I personally think its wrong. My salary will only cover my Bill's going forward to will have to borrow money for food

AvoidingRealHumans · 24/04/2020 11:08

Spidey have you checked your online tax account? Your tax credits may have gone up a bit? I had a one off payment and my payments have gone up going forward as well.

Could you speak to the school and explain your situation? they may be able to offer some help with lunches or point you in the direction of someone that can help.

Your children should not be going without due to the current situationwe all find ourselves in, there must be an organisation or someone that can help with this. Hopefully one of the school staff on this thread may be able to help if they've had parents in a similar boat.
Sorry this is happening, I hope you get through somewhere soon.

SpideyMom · 24/04/2020 12:07

Mine went down. Massively. Everything year they do due to the way our pension is taken. We pay our pension contributions once tax has been taken on the full annual earnings so tax credits renewal is always a huge nightmare. Last year it too 5 months to resolve.

carriebreadshaw · 24/04/2020 14:32

I believe the earning limit on UC is 7k or there abouts
