It's not selling cannabis, it's selling stocks in a cannabis company. So basically it sounds to me like a scam.

Either he'd be getting scammed, by paying the people his airfare and rent or whatever up front, or he'd be scamming people by selling stocks in a cannabis company.

I've recently heard of a cannabis company scam, someone sold shares in the company and there was no company , and no cannabis field or whatever. This was in the US and they were arrested, it was on an anti-mlm page. Can anyone shed any light on the details, that's all I can remember.

Yeah, dealing in cannabis in Indonesia. That sounds like a sensible plan, drugs in a VERY strict country.

If he did that he'd probably never see his kids again if his ex is sensible.

Plus, after 8 weeks its commission only. It'd only be a matter of time before he'd be setting up a go fund me for his ticket back to the UK because he's broke...again.

It was the nephew of the owner of Lularoe, he got people to invest in a pot farm that didn't exist.

I believe he was scammed himself, and raised the money to put in his share by getting others to invest. He's facing some serious charges.

It might be something like that, a share in a pot farm that doesn't exist. It sounds like a great oppurtunity because with it being legal in a fair few places in the US, it's easy to be hoodwinked.

This reminds me of when Bradford Bot started a GFM so she could take her kids to Lanzarote even though she was declaring on FB she was shitting money. I think she got £20 of her £1400 target.

It is possible to report GFM pages to GFM as a scam. That may be a good idea here.

I've reported the campaign to both FB and GFM.

I once reported a GFM, someone was asking for money as they had been in a serious car accident, they only had minor injuries but the car was a write off. They posted a photo of the car.

A google image search showed that the image used was a car from a news story about 5 years ago, so not their car, and the GFM was bullshit.

GFM did nothing. They got about £200.

Somehow I'm not surprised. Still, if enough of us report it...
