I've tried a couple 3dogs but they didn't really work. The best way is just to keep your tab open and watch!

Frenchdoors1 · 09/09/2019 17:32

@3dogsnorth
Yes,there is an app that you download from Playstore called 'Web Alert' it is free. I struggled to follow the instructions etc until I came across another app called 'Web Alert' which is £1.99 or 99p I can't remember. Apparently you have to keep the free one on for them both to work.
I messed about for ages with how I thought it should work but I sussed it out in the end... I have screenshot the page of how it should look. Please note that you can choose a notification sound, to alert you when there is a study. Sometimes it pings if there is a slight change on the Web page. But I rather it pings only to see there isn't a study rather than not ping at all. 🙂

And just check you have alerts 'on' or you won't hear. I knocked the alert button off by mistake once or twice.

StudentHelp · 09/09/2019 17:36

I have 2 friends on gener8 now and still can't see the marketplace?

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 09/09/2019 17:51

they both need to earn 1 token student, it doesn't take long.

StudentHelp · 09/09/2019 18:04

@spockPaperScissorsLizardRock

2/3 have earned a token and it says so, yet I still can't see anything

StudentHelp · 09/09/2019 18:05

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock

Am I looking I’m the wrong place?

Is anyone doing Cloud Work? I'm just on the verge of signing up but I just wondered whether my current employer would be notified? I currently work 30 hours a week, NHS. Also, do you have to send in your photograph?

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 09/09/2019 18:11

That's weird student, mine doesn't look like that! Must be a different browser or something. I'm on Chrome.

Sorry i can't help, maybe takes a while to update?

StudentHelp · 09/09/2019 18:15

I'm also on chrome, which is strange!

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 09/09/2019 18:18

Ah, i'm on a mac so maybe that lol!

StudentHelp · 09/09/2019 18:26

It finally updated and everything is sold out Grin
How often does it update? - Has anyone managed to get a voucher?

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 09/09/2019 18:33

It updates several times a week. I'v got 2 vouchers so far. YOu can only buy 1 per week at the moment.

Wolfff · 09/09/2019 19:00

@justwonderingifi

I didn't go through with cloud workers but they do not want a photo.

As far as I understand it, you would pay additional tax via Self Assessment, so your employer would not find out.

StudentHelp · 09/09/2019 19:04

Took the crisp test again and still only got 18

justwonderingifi · 09/09/2019 19:05

@Wolfff thank you. I knew I would have to do a self assessment but I don't fancy explaining to my work what I do in my spare time Grin. What about Appen? How are you allocated work?

Otterses · 09/09/2019 19:29

GREAT NEW PASSIVE EARNER!

https://vocal.media/lifehack/generate-passive-income-by-renting-out-your-lock-screen

Renting out your phone screen when it's locked Grinwho knew?

StudentHelp · 09/09/2019 19:49

I knew about renting out the lock screen but can't find any on IOS Sad

Otterses · 09/09/2019 19:50

@StudentHelp if I can find a decent amount of passive apps, I'm quite tempted to buy a cheap android!

StudentHelp · 09/09/2019 19:54

@Otterses
Hadn't thought of that - It might be worth it!

Wolfff · 09/09/2019 20:24

@justwonderingifi

Re Appen you fill in details on their site, upload your CV and if accepted apply for work. Normally you start with a small £5 project. There is no guarantee of work. I have a long term (I hope) project I do for an hour a day and earn around £300 if I work every day. I have also picked up some short term projects.

In the job also you are treated as a contractor so your employer need not know.

NWQM · 09/09/2019 21:25

20 cogs does seem easy.

Here's my referral link if anyone is interested in taking a look. I've not cashed anything out yet.

Boobahs · 10/09/2019 00:54

Can I ask a silly question? On Clickworker, I'm trying to add my payment details and it is asking for my tax number? What's that? My tax code? Sorry for being dumb Blush

seizethecuttlefish · 10/09/2019 01:12

Cloudworkers people. Do you get an invoice or anything re what you'll be paid? I haven't had anything from them and don't think I've been paid. I've no intention of doing it anymore but think I'm owed about $120. I haven't signed in for a shift in a couple of weeks.
