Have you tried Chrome for the pinterest clickworker job?

MrsGaryLightbody · 24/08/2019 10:39

Yes have downloaded chrome etc on iPad to see if that makes difference and sadly it doesn't.

MrsWombat · 24/08/2019 10:56

Ahh because I've just done a couple of pinterest tasks on Chrome on my laptop and it worked fine.

MrsGaryLightbody · 24/08/2019 10:59

@MrsWombat you've made me dig out my old dinosaur laptop and charger... hopefully that may work. Thank you !

MrsWombat · 24/08/2019 11:17

@MrsGaryLightbody Ha, no thank you! I was curious so signed up for Clickworkers and took a look. It didn't work on firefox so I tried on Chrome and it did. Another small project for me! Grin

MrsWombat · 24/08/2019 11:27

My clickworkers refferal link for anyone interested. Blush www.clickworker.com/en/clickworker?utm_source=1173826&utm_campaign=CW4CW&utm_medium=email

MrsGaryLightbody · 24/08/2019 14:48

@MrsWombat you are a star 🌟 dusted off an old laptop ... and although painfully slow it works !!! Yay Grin

Fizbo · 24/08/2019 16:17

Hi I've just been got the go ahead to book my skype training with cloud workers. I've read all the info about what is expected of me and I now find myself wondering if it's really worth it. Can anyone working for them tell me roughly how much they make per month? I understand you get paid per message so it depends on how quick you are etc but I'm just looking for a ball park number.
I have the time to do the 12 hours per week as I only have one project on Appen and still waiting on Crisp. Thanks

seizethecuttlefish · 24/08/2019 20:28

@Fizbo they are desperate for agents, so it's a good time to join. I did it for a few weeks and it wasn't for me but I was getting pretty quick (I thought) and earning a steady £7-8 hour. That said, beware of quiet times when the system is slow and you'll struggle to get that. @TheLolaMontez was my guru for advice.

SNISR · 24/08/2019 21:17

Has anyone worked for any of these companies apart from Cambly? Any thoughts?

Also, is there a way we can search for key words on mumsnet? I type things in the search bar, but nothing comes up. Its hard reading every single post again to find what you're looking for 😭

bananamuffin99 · 24/08/2019 23:33

@seizethecuttlefish isn't that sending like 70-80 messages an hour? I've been doing it for a week and I average 35-40, I am just so slow and some of the guys don't exactly make it easy. It's so annoying when we have to send a minimum of 70 characters and they respond with 2 or 3 words, it's like give me strength!!

Takingshape12 · 25/08/2019 07:32

Morning all,
I found this thread a few days ago and have been reading with interest! I plucked up the courage to sign up to Crisp this morning and got 18 out of 20 on the suitability test. I had an email entitled I'm on the waiting list - but it then says the pass is 19/20.

Do I need to do the test again? Bit confused as to the wording and if I am on the list or not!

Thanks

seizethecuttlefish · 25/08/2019 07:39

@bananamuffin99 it is. You get quicker but I couldn't do more than a couple of hours at a time. Also, you develop some stock replies in your head and stretch out what would have been how are you...to that's so good to hear. Thanks for that....etc. I had to be in a room, no disruptions. I can't do it and watch tv or anything. I have no idea how you'd make 10/hr, like they say.

Fizbo · 25/08/2019 07:41

@seizethecuttlefish thank you that's really helpful Smile

Wolfff · 25/08/2019 07:58

@Takingshape12

Yes you have to take it again until you get 19/20. There are many people on this thread who took it ages ago and are still waiting so I think it unlikely much will come of it. You might want to look into some of the other ideas in the first post on the thread. Personally I am working on Appen and find it a good source of supplementary income (about £300 a month).

seizethecuttlefish · 25/08/2019 09:35

@Fizbo pm me, if you want any more info Wink

reddA · 25/08/2019 10:38

Thanks @BlackCatFan I'm actually feeling a bit less foggy so fingers crossed I'm coming out the other side! Smile I'm writing off August and looking to start a fresh in September (especially now we have this gorgeous BH weekend)

@SNISR if you're just looking for keywords on a particular thread I tend to use find on my laptop (control + f).

Enjoy the sunny weather everyone!

SNISR · 25/08/2019 11:13

Thank you @reddA I never thought of that! 😅

margaritasbythesea · 25/08/2019 22:27

Otterses - I'm sorry to hear about your job situation. Potential redundancy seems to permanently hang over us, so I an sympathise. My fingers are crossed for you,

reddA - also wishinv you all the very best. Take care of yourself.

Would my fellow Nilers be so good as to reassure me that I can work any of the five days within a given week, and that the week starts on a Monday. Am I correct?

Givemestrengthorgin · 26/08/2019 06:44

I've just been accepted to Appen Connect and have a list of projects to apply for. Can anyone recommend a good one to start with? Thanks!

Takingshape12 · 26/08/2019 07:20

I've applied to Appen. What's the difference between connect and global? My info just says Appen

Givemestrengthorgin · 26/08/2019 07:48

I originally signed up for Appen global Not realising there was more than one option. But the projects were dire. $35 to record and transcribe 800 odd Alexa commands. I didn't make it past 10 commands before I decided there must be a better use of my time. Saw a fee people on here talking about Appen connect so I've signed up to see what it's like but only just been accepted so I can't tell if it's going to be any good yet.

seizethecuttlefish · 26/08/2019 08:10

Avoid Fletcher. It's 800 phrases of torment and I'm still waiting to be paid. Noyo is a quick, one time 5. I've not had much luck with any others. But I'd apply that all the ones you want and go from there. There's no guarantee that you'll get them. I've had 3 in process for over a month.

justtheonethen · 26/08/2019 09:12

Have been accepted on to Altamaha on Appen. It's not in my list of projects though Confused
