It's on her personal page. You might have to be friends with her to see it.

Uber’s ex teacher has she been made redundant? Check LinkedIn and the school staff list.

Whiterangey · 14/08/2019 00:07

I've seen a lot of trying to re-bot ex-bots by Younique bots. I'm guessing because of the high turnover of Younique bots. This happened a lot during the recent release of the latest tarantula mascara.

Can't see it working that well in FL, they don't bring out new WOW products like the tarantula mascara that Younique brought out. Nobody is going to get all excited over a sun cream or some yucky supergreen mix. It's also almost £200 for a new business in a box.

gotmychocolateimgood · 14/08/2019 06:49

Just got an invite to like my cousin's business page... Tropic. Argh

Myusername2015 · 14/08/2019 09:02

Forever living have done it again with the most incredible incentives. Look at this you only have to make 120 points (nearly £4000) worth of sales and you get a tacky bag that says forever on it and some free leaflets. Just an amazing biz.

Lol. Level 4 and you get a Fitbit charge 2. That's the outgoing model... Guess they didn't feel their business owners are worth the latest Charge 3s. And Amazon echos must be handed out to companies like candy at the moment - I'm sure I heard a radio advert for a car company giving them out for a test drive (no purchase required).

AntiBotics · 14/08/2019 09:23

Is anyone else seeing a big increase in Tropic? It seems to be all over Facebook. Is it on the way up while Forever is in decline?

YouokHun · 14/08/2019 09:47

@AntiBotics yes I’ve noticed a lot of Tropic. It’s been positioning itself as the more “oopmarket” choice and where I live (south east) it’s been taken up by women with healthy household incomes which can prop up the Tropic purchases and the odd sale to similarly monied friends and family. It gives the illusion that Tropic is different and people are doing well but no one’s doing any bookkeeping. Trouble is the “Tropic opportunity” trickles down to those who really can’t afford it and who think these bankrolled women are examples of what can be achieved selling Tropic. Though most of the ones where I am are content with purchasing Tropic to sell to friends and to kid themselves they have their own business. They’re often the ones who used to do Arbonne or Stella & Dot. From memory I think you have to buy £250 every three months to stay active - not a problem for the women I’m thinking of. One Tropic bot at my son’s old school hadn’t read the small print about staying active and got very narky with me when I asked her about it, told me I didn’t understand about how businesses work. I do know how scams work Love.

9dartfinish2nd · 14/08/2019 09:50

I genuinely believe that Anti MLM sentiment has spread out so much now that it's getting increasingly difficult to bring in new blood. Seems trying to target dormant bots is the latest futile attempt to slow down the inevitable house of cards moment that is fast incoming.

Norma27 · 14/08/2019 10:07

One of my best friends has started tropic. She is an accountant who is about to go back to work after having her 3rd child.
She doesn’t mention it to me tho as she knows my feelings on mlms.

Spongebobette · 14/08/2019 10:14

All the usual suspects are being trotted out for FL Success Day in Sept
They've cleverly broken up the audience into what they are calling 'pods' so that it's not so obvious that the numbers attending are a fraction of what they used to be

Spongebobette · 14/08/2019 10:17

Those 'incentives' are laughable.

They know that bots will spend money buying products just so they can crow about being recognised and rewarded by the amazing company they work alongside.

That iPad that we will see in a bot's post in a few months time will have cost them many many times more than the retail cost

YouokHun · 14/08/2019 10:29

Agree 9dartfinished2nd the outside world is definitely becoming more aware and more hostile to MLM. The interest from the media is much intensified and journalists and producers I’ve spoken too are clued up and recognise that discussion or critique of the products is not the story they should pursue but rather the flawed business model and the manipulation of people and information. This is very good news as the problem of MLM is being seen by people with influence. Of course the odd journalistic copy and paste from the DSA is still happening (I’m looking at you The Scotsman) but generally I think tables are turning. But we need legislative change!

Jigsawpuzzle · 14/08/2019 11:24

Run for the hills as PHD doing a live @ 12

CodenameVillanelle · 14/08/2019 11:34

An accountant? Doing a MLM??? Jesus.

My son's French teacher has started doing tropic. I don't know their household finances but they rent in an expensive area and she only works as a home tutor so I doubt they have a lot spare. Hopefully she will drop it soon :(

CodenameVillanelle · 14/08/2019 11:36

Her tropic Facebook page was opened in February and she hasn't posted since March so hopefully she dropped it when she realised she needed to spend her own money to stay active!!!

JasperRising · 14/08/2019 12:18

Spongebobette so true about the retail cost v the cost of earning your incentive. 225 points for a charge 2 - you could sponsor 9 supervisors but that seems hide or you have to 45 personal CCs ordered. I have never got how that translates to £ but if you are spending on products for yourself/to hopefully sell on would you have to spend more than £120 to get those 45 CCs? Because you can buy a charge 3 for £120 in Argos... Or get a second hand charge 2 for £40.

I assume the presumption is you should get those higher levels via recruitment because it is in no way financially logical otherwise!

Spongebobette · 14/08/2019 14:26

Does anyone have IBO access to FL sites; the country manager is encouraging them to get 'profduct info' cards to use in their sales presentations and I wonder how much they cost

Uber will be too busy with wedding 👰 planning to do a #proudmummy post about her son. I note the crowdfunding hasn’t moved despite all the protestations from her huns. Watches with interest .

FranceTeam · 14/08/2019 17:27

One of the FL bots I used to follow, not mentioned on here I don’t think, seems to have switched to become a hypnotherapist! No mention of FL stuff anymore.

SnoogyWoo · 14/08/2019 17:43

I have seen a few switch to hypnotherapist or life coach.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 14/08/2019 18:04

Talking of FL who make switches I still frequently look at Roomie's page.

Very rare that she mentions FL now she's calling herself a coach/author/motivational speaker etc etc. but, do you know what, the white lies and inconsistencies in stories and posts are still abundant in true MLM fashion.

She posted recently about how things have changed for their family and how, on holiday before, they apparently were so poor they could only afford one ice cream per child for the whole holiday.

Erm, this will be when you had at least one of your children in private school at any point in time (which your "little aloe business" was paying for) then.

Make up your mind, you can't be claiming poverty for a period in your life one minute but also boasting about how well off you were too!!

You would think bots would keep track of the lies and stories they've told !

suedoname · 14/08/2019 18:13

Do these people think because they brainwashed some vulnerable people with cliches they are motivational speakers?
