This is the 42nd thread in a long series about the dangers of network marketing/ MLMs such as Forever Living, Ariix, NuSkin, Arbonne, Younique, TS Life, and MANY MANY more!
Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs
Over 90% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

Ooh, thanks for the link, SSDGM have subscribed.

Wonder how Valentus have crawled their way up out of the gutter, thought trading standards were all over them?

SSDGM · 25/09/2018 16:51

This review of Valentus’ latest wonder weight loss drug is quite fabulous.

Lizilondon · 25/09/2018 17:59

If you look at Valentus website they only have 2 products for resale (Italian and Brazilian roast) the other products are for personal use only.

ArbunneHun · 25/09/2018 19:46

Yeah well it’s NEVER been about selling outside the pyramid with Valentus - even more so than the others. That was Salon’s sales pitch: you don’t have to sell, just sign up to auto ship and recruit others to do the same.

LateLatte · 26/09/2018 08:40

Welsh it trying to be an instant now and a 'collaborator'. Using her influence to sell more things! It's funny though because the last thing you would want to do it send your downlines money into other non FL products. She knows that her downline and ex-downline aspire to be like her so she's still attempting to monetize those who have left FL.

Whiterangey · 26/09/2018 10:54

Salon's house has sold £195k subject to contract.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 26/09/2018 12:00

I've just watched Roomie's most recent live video. She really is the gift that keeps giving, I can't work out if she's stupid or brazen.

In a nutshell she is saying " I had thyroid problems and don't trust doctors so did my own research which led me to dodgy tablets bought online from Thailand. I ended up on 8 tablets a day and put myself in hospital after feeling like I was having a heart attack every time I went to the gym . I've now discovered that if I take every product FL sells for the rest of my life I'll feel great. ....... ( and here's the great bit folks!!! Shock ) ........ If you have any health problems let me know and I'll do a bit of research and tell you what you should be taking " !!!

FFS who in their right mind would trust Roomie with their health and wellbeing?!

DownThePan · 26/09/2018 13:13

Did Roomie say she is a midwife at the beginning of that video? And why is she buying pills of the internet instead of putting all her faith in aloe?!

DownThePan · 26/09/2018 13:21

Stickwife has jumped on the trolling and bullying bandwagon - apparently she's been told that she's not a real business owner and she only sells stuff to mates. She's not happy!

user1484830599 · 26/09/2018 13:57

God if she's going to do FL she'll need a thicker skin than that.

Yes Roomie was a midwife, before she changed her life with FL.

Norma27 · 26/09/2018 14:09

Apparently yawn only started making changes to her lifestyle in August! Which August is that then cos her Facebook lies would show that it isn’t this one.

She also has her new business cards. Apparently she will be handing them out to very lucky people who impress her enough for one. She is so bloody deluded thinking people want one of them and that they are like some sort of prize.

Lizilondon · 26/09/2018 14:14

Salon has been awarded with a pin for being a £250,000 earner.
I wonder where she'll move to.

user1484830599 · 26/09/2018 14:19

@Norma27 she can't count either, says August but then 9months. If the secret is diet wine then I'll give it a miss Grin

Paddy1234 · 26/09/2018 18:23

From a presentation of Yawn's bff. It's horrible to see it in print.

A friend of ours recently got sucked into a Tropic and a select group of us have resisted. In my case I deleted and blocked said hunbot after she came to a party I hosted, spent all night boring the life out of my friends about it then proceeded to go through my social media the next morning and sent all of the people I'd introduced her to Facebook friend requests.

She then added them all to her hunbot site on FB.

Yesterday another friend dared to buy a different product (online, not an MLM) and posted to say how good it was. She then got this sent to her

"I’ve googled it.... interesting .
I know you got really upset with hunbot and I do understand that, I also would never tell anyone what they should or shouldn’t buy. All I can say is I truly believe in the ethics and the natural ingredients in Tropic. I love the brand and everything that Susie stands for in how she empowers women to grow their own ethical business .
I’m not sure where the misunderstanding about pyramid selling with Tropic came about .... I have a good understanding of pyramid selling and Tropic really is not based upon this style, if it were I would most definitely not be involved .
I’m sorry you had a negative experience with the brand 😞 , glad you are happy with your new stuff xxxx "

Totally brainwashed. And deluded

CurlsandCurves · 26/09/2018 19:00

Just listened to the first episode of the podcast recommended by SSDGM, ‘the dream ‘. Really interesting listening about the origins of mlms with the Airplane Game. And the psychology behind it all, the ‘you deserve this’ mentality.

Made me feel a bit sick to hear Trump uttering those immortal words ‘you’re in business for yourself but not by yourself’ . Doesn’t surprise me in the slightest that he would be taking a backhand to endorse one of these schemes tho.

Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Norma27 · 26/09/2018 20:25

Is roomie taking the piss out of yawn with her messy desk post? Yawn has a similar one a couple of days ago.

user1484830599 · 26/09/2018 21:20

Struggling for inspiration to up their post count perhaps?

I've just noticed that they all hide their friends lists on FB, ironic when they mine everyone elses that they come into contact with for more potential victims!

The ‘messy desk’ post is one of those beat-the-FB-algorithms posts they get told to do every so often to spark engagement. It’s not overtly business related (bar an artfully placed carton of aloe or two) but designed to get people responding.

Paddy1234 · 26/09/2018 22:33

Hiding friends list is simply the easiest way to see if they are in a MLM. It must be one of first things they are instructed to do.
I find it all very strange to be honest.
There is a Welsh couple that used to be very pro active in FL that have diversified into coaching and books and are obviously struggling with engaging in there new target audience. It's actually very sad to see as they have spent a lot of money in courses etc. But with a saturated market you have absolutely no chance. They jumped ship too late.

user1484830599 · 27/09/2018 07:26

The 'business coaching' some of the FL ones seem to be diversifying into is baffling. Having never run a successful business, except for a MLM they feel qualified to offer other businesses the benefit of their expertise. It's just so arrogant.

user1484830599 · 27/09/2018 07:33

I should have clicked the messy desk was intentional from the product placement. Its all so calculated isn't it, ugh.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 27/09/2018 08:03

Re: the "business coaching", I often wonder what would happen if a person who ran a real business contacted them for coaching. They would be so out of their depth as none of the MLM approaches would work.

Can you imagine telling a self-employed hairdresser or book keeper to stalk people in the supermarket/school playground/party and try and get their business that way?! ... "ooh hello I couldn't help but notice that your roots are showing, you'd be fantastic for my business.... blah blah blah"

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 27/09/2018 08:09

I've just seen this on a local fb page, posted by Mrs Stick

"If anyone is looking for extra work over Christmas I am looking for part time and full time people who want to earn extra cash.

I also need confident people who may want to run a stall too & get cash in hand for the 4 hours"

Is she paying people cash in hand to run stalls for her or is she just using it as a way to tempt potential recruits, when they show interest and contact her then the spiel starts... "do you know what, actually you should run your own business, you're the ideal person" etc?
