MLM Bot Watch 42

Spongebobette · 18/08/2018 12:09

This is the 42nd thread in a long series about the dangers of network marketing/ MLMs such as Forever Living, Ariix, NuSkin, Arbonne, Younique, TS Life, and MANY MANY more!
Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs
Over 90% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

Call me cynical when it comes to Bots!

9dartfinish · 25/08/2018 12:44

Looks like the former top distributer who left Nu Skin along with her partner earlier this year are returning to the company.

She took some time out then joined Doterra after a very emotional Facebook live video stating that she was tired of the bullying culture and mean girl mentality running through the company, although she went to great lengths to emphasise she was leaving because of the people involved not the company itself,

She also stated in that video that her upline hadn't spoken to her in over a year.

Why the hell would you go back to such a toxic environment?

Hope she see's throught it all eventually and gets out of the industry once and for all but we all know on here how this takes over peoples lives.

Would someone mind pm’ing me the names of the top liners please.

These threads make for interesting yet really disturbing reading. I’ve never seen the sense in mlm and I hate selling so I’ve never got involved but I feel so sorry for the vulnerable people out there who do get sucked in.

Paddy1234 · 25/08/2018 20:21

With FL obviously dying a very quick death, I see quite a few of the middle bots have jumped on the mindset coaching.
Could anyone give me an idea how they could possibly make a living from this.
I can see that Ubers mindset coach is rarely referenced now from the histeria of a couple of years ago and seems to be peddling his wares abroad.

KateGrey · 25/08/2018 20:32

I’ve noticed a lot of ex bots have jumped to business coaching or mentoring.

Sean1984 · 25/08/2018 23:35

They probably only “coach” other bots , coaching = how to post annoying crap and inspirational mems on facebook and instagram all day long and annoy friends all day long to buy their over priced crap. No respectable legitimate business owner would pay these people to coach them how to tie their shoe laces not alone run a business!!!!

This popped up as a sponsored post on my fb today. Reading it actually brought back real feelings of panic and guilt about not doing enough/ the right stuff (whatever that is) 🤢

Paddy1234 · 26/08/2018 08:17

'Institute of Network Marketing'
There is nothing accredited or affiliated about that 'company'
Makes me absolutely furious

Paddy1234 · 26/08/2018 08:20

Just seen that it is run by a 'coach/mind set trainer/complete load of utter bollocks'

BangingOn · 26/08/2018 09:35

“I think students should take a class action lawsuit out on career advisors for enticing them into £1000's of pounds of debt... With promises of great rewards..“

It would be funny if it weren’t so scary. I’m not sure whether he’s deluded himself or whether he is utterly calculating.

Orchardgreen · 26/08/2018 15:33

In my previous life before I retired (from the NHS) I had no idea about MLM and bots. I used to see people’s occupation described as “life style coach”, “ life style consultant”, “company director”, “motivation coach”, and I’d be puzzled.

Usually said person was a thick as pig shit, now I understand.

spanfan · 26/08/2018 22:52

Castlebots diary is retailing at 50 quid. What a bargain.... 😱😱😱

Teddy1970 · 27/08/2018 00:14

I don't get why Castlebot has chosen to live abroad for a year? And why Lanzarote?

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 27/08/2018 08:29

I thought it was an odd decision too Teddy.

If she was doing as well as she makes out she is why would she mess it up by going to Lanzarote?

Also they spend so much time with her extended family surely that would be another reason not to up sticks and move.

Confused Something strange is going on.

Teddy1970 · 27/08/2018 08:58

That's what I thought ..it just seems an odd, snap decision, especially with her son starting school in September.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 27/08/2018 09:06

It seems to have been a sudden, recent decision too as not all that long ago she was asking for suggestions of somewhere to hire a villa for a months holiday before their son started school. This was how they ended up in Lanzarote for a couple of weeks holiday. Next thing is they're moving there.

Teddy1970 · 27/08/2018 09:24

Yes, like overnight! Very weird, it's not a decision you'd take lightly, you'd be weighing up all your options looking at the pros and cons etc, it's almost as if they're running away from something or someone.

BangingOn · 27/08/2018 10:07

Her son was due to be starting school this September, as in next week? It is very strange.

Teddy1970 · 27/08/2018 10:24

Yes BangingOn if he was going to a state school, they'd have put the application for his place in January, not sure what happens with private schools though, it is very strange.

Tupperwarelid · 27/08/2018 10:31

Who is going to run the pro planner business too? Don’t they keep all the stock in their garage/home office?

Teddy1970 · 27/08/2018 10:40

I'd forgotten about her other business, isn't she in a partnership with another bot?

spanfan · 27/08/2018 11:07

Total speculation here but I reckon the local primary is crap and they couldn't afford/don't want to get him in private.

Their choice of course, but to make out it's because of FL is clearly a fib.

Those planners must make them a fortune so I can see how they can be broke enough to have to rent out their house. But her hub isn't working (what exactly does he do, I wonder???)

It's all smoke and mirrors. If they'd just be honest about what they want to do, rather than make up loads of shite, I'd be much more sympathetic. 😂😂

spanfan · 27/08/2018 11:08

Oh and I reckon castlebruv has been locked out. He's moving to London. It's not entirely clear if it's by choice. ,😂😂😂😂

spanfan · 27/08/2018 11:09

*chucked

Fredathetortoise · 27/08/2018 11:56

Institute is a restricted word in a business or company name. Just sayin' www.gov.uk/government/publications/incorporation-and-names/annex-a-sensitive-words-and-expressions-or-words-that-could-imply-a-connection-with-government
