Brand new thread for a brand new month.

In which this years bonus cheques will be revealed, which is my favourite time of year.

(Or getting her downline to buy & try to sell it)

cozietoesie · 05/04/2018 17:57

Of course, Twenty.

Out of interest, Dora, do you recall if there was more 'kudos' attached to a big ticket sale or were people perfectly .happy if you muddled through with a lot of small stuff?

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 05/04/2018 18:34

But she's giving a false impression of what it entails in order to sell the box - she's implying that, as part of the plan, you can add all these calorific, tasty items to the shakes , plus eat a meal in the evening and still lose weight/detox/cleanse.

I guess people are more likely to purchase it if they don't think they have to starve themselves

ArbunneHun · 05/04/2018 18:34

Hmmm... Salon has also put up a MLM IS HARDWORK post. Must be trying to respond to or attempt to stem an exodus of Valentus bots.

Typical bloody network marketers: join my team! Achieve time & financial freedom! Look at me and these other people who made loads of money/have loads of time for their kids/only work a couple of hours a day! It’s so easy!

Then: honestly, some people expect to have everything handed to them on a plate! To be successful you have to ignore your kids/work 18 hour days/not make any money for 10 years! It’s bloody hard work!

Jonsey32 · 05/04/2018 20:00

They go on about working from home and spending time with the kids if they’re on holiday, sick or whatever...
My job allows me to part work from home, this afternoon my child care provider had the afternoon off and so I sneakily worked from home this afternoon with my son here (he’s 2 and a half)
It was a bloody nightmare! I had calls to make and he was either whinging or babbling in the background, or trying to bang on my keyboard while I was typing reports.
It wasn’t an easy 3 hours and it certainly wasn’t professional! On a full time basis it would be unworkable!
I honestly don’t know how they do it, and crow about it so much!

Jonsey32 · 05/04/2018 20:02

arbunne
In that thread a few of them have alluded to it taking 9 years to even “remotely” find success. Wow. Just wow.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 05/04/2018 20:28

Jonsey I know what you mean about the stress of trying to work with children around! I've never had to do it thankfully as I remember how difficult it was even making a brief phone call when they're around.

On fb I saw one bot had a sizzle at her home this morning - looked to be about 6-8 bots plus their assorted children ranging in age from baby to about 10/11 years old all crammed in a normal sized terraced house. Looked like my idea of hell. Pretty sure they wouldn't have got much "work" done.

So much for their business allowing them to be off with the children during the holidays Hmm.

cozietoesie · 05/04/2018 21:38

Are they sad people underneath? They must realise..............

BangingOn · 05/04/2018 21:53

I absolutely cannot work from home with DS here, I’ve changed my diary to work in the office (112 miles away) next week on the day he’s going to be at home with DH.

The JP crew are getting excited about their ‘JP Live’ weekend at the end of the month. I’m also mildly amused by their titles- Presidential Marketing Director is wonderfully grandiose and vague at the same time Hmm. My ex colleague is a PMD and speaking at the event, naturally she is bursting with excitement, exclamation marks and emojis as she shares the news.

TizzleBizzle · 05/04/2018 22:04

Yawn has been reading! Hi! Her latest post is clearly a justification of some of our comments here Grin

ReformedBot · 05/04/2018 22:08

One of my first realisations was that I was sold something to give me a better work life balance then told the reality once I'd signed up.

Someone posted on my Facebook looking for an FL rep today and got only one reply (someone tagging a rep). Those posts used to get OTT competitive!

Twentytwentyhindsight · 05/04/2018 22:24

Thought the same Tizzle, makes her posts look a bit odd, defending against imaginary critics!

ReformedBot · 05/04/2018 22:40

Yawn can justify all she wants. She sells C9 which is a package. Her advice of finding your BMR/AMR and dropping 200cals is not official advice and is not the C9.

You can't have it both ways, either endorse the product and share it as it is or call it out for not giving enough calories!

TizzleBizzle · 06/04/2018 01:07

Yes Twenty and Reformed - spot on. She's a charlatan and a backpedaller. In Jan she ate barely anything on the C9.

Whiterangey · 06/04/2018 03:31

Hopefully people will see that and will be turned off the C9. What is the point of paying out all of that money just to eat healthy food and drop 200 calories a day?

The physical side of losing weight needs nothing additional except to eat less calories than you burn, it's simple, really simple. You can eat nothing but McDonalds, as long as your calories are less than you burn.

The emotional and mental health side of losing weight can be a lot more complicated. That isn't going to be solved by some overpriced bullshit which will do nothing but give you expensive pee. It's definitely not going to be solved by someone fat shaming you into handing over a lot of money in order for you to end up with expensive pee.

In fact it's going to make it worse, especially after you are on a high after losing 20lbs from your glycogen stores being depleted and showing that off to everyone. Only to then put on all but a couple of lbs very quickly and feel like shit that you've failed.

That video that tells you all about glycogen stores and why crash dieting causes lots of weight loss very quickly that goes back on just as quick should be taught in schools.

I also hate the way that women are getting the message that it is not okay to look the way they look and there is something wrong with looking like that and they need to change. Usually right before someone tries to sell them some expensive bullshit that they claim will make them lose weight.

So the trip to McDonald’s was just for her son... okaaaaaaaaay. Not an arse covering post if any of her followers saw her at the drive through and knew she is supposed to be on Clean 9...

Twentytwentyhindsight · 06/04/2018 09:35

SSDGM - the pitfalls of having a "look at me!" car...

MLMsuperfan · 06/04/2018 09:59

Brokebot's posted a link warning about a travel MLM operating in the UK. The site he linked to says "Anyone can join, pay their fee and do a few hours of reading at home. They watch a little video, get given a website and call themselves independent travel agents". The article reveals the holidays offered aren't ABTA protected, the price comparisons are deceptive and 97% of participants lose money.

It's not the travel MLM he's recruiting for though (that's fine presumably).

Twentytwentyhindsight · 06/04/2018 10:42

Seeing as Broke and everyone else involved in his Ponzi recruitment scheme are unlikely ever to sell a holiday, I don't suppose they see it as relevant...

Tupperwarelid · 06/04/2018 12:55

There appears to be some kind of success day/managers meeting in fl world today, right in the middle of the school holidays. That’s a family friendly company right there isn’t it?

Moose23ishungry · 06/04/2018 13:28

Yawn is having a "small" meal at lunch because of a busy afternoon. It's approx 600 cals. Is this in addition to dinner?

  • shake - 229 calories
  • 2 eggs worth 180 calories
  • 1 med avocado worth 160 calories
  • 10 olives worth about 40 calories
Whiterangey · 06/04/2018 13:36

I went to read the botwatch article via the link on Broke's facebook, and I got this:

Possible problem with this link
We have detected that this link: botwatch.blog/2018/04/05/all-you-need-to-know-about-inteletravel/ may be malicious.
To keep your account and device secure, only follow links you trust.

So not sure why it's doing that, I followed the link because it's obviously one I trust, but just a heads up.

OP posts:
ArbunneHun · 06/04/2018 13:39

Inteletravel is the one that Salon’s besty left Valentus for. I do think it’s entertaining that all the same criticisms apply to Broke’s travel ponzi...

Look! Look at that bad MLM over there! It’s much worse than my bad MLM!

Whiterangey · 06/04/2018 14:23

I had to read the bit about the 'Society of Intelligent Travellers' 4 times because I thought BotWatch were being sarcastic and I couldn't work out why.
