I am thinking about buying some of pb for the children but what puts me off is one dc winning lots and the other nothing... How did you share out the winning? How does it work?

Do you get notified by email on winnings or do you have to log in and check yourself.

I think an email as well maybe? I just check the app.

At one stage I bought PBS for the kids - 1000 each and I bought 4000. But any prizes were shared out.

Snow I keep a spreadsheet for me Dh the DC and Ddog. Any winnings are shared according to our balance.. so if Ddog has 20% of the total amount in premium bonds and we win £50, he would get £10.

Nothing this month on max holdings. I'm paying for my £175 haul last month!

Snow I just bought the premium bonds for the DC in my name. The £1000 winning bond that was won using their money, I split between them. Have put the money in a savings account and going to buy more bonds for them this month. So the bonds are in my name but some of them belong to the children IYSWIM.
Don't know what others do, DH is aware that I have done this.
Will give the money to the DC when they are older, hopefully they will have won a bit more!

You get an email after a few days if you have won, also can put in your holders number in online to check.

Received my email this morning - £25 on £3375 holdings

My ds won £50 on his premoum bonds this month (woohoo!) however we've only had one cheque arrive for £25. Do they send a cheque per winning bond? If so surely it would make more sense (and dave a lot of paper) to send one cheque per winning person?

I guess it would go into an isa.

They send one cheque from what I've experienced although tbh I have mine paid into a bank account (currently I have them reinvested).

This thread always disappears, I won nothing for Feb. Good luck everyone for the next week. Pleased they have dropped it to £25 min purchase now.

Yup maybe we need a mid post to bump it! Like, I bought another bond etc. I'm planing to buy bonds with my work expenses when they come back each month.

What happens if she visits and you're not home?

She comes back apparently, although not sure how long they wait, she can’t hang around two weeks I guess if you’re on holiday, it’s not very specific, hopefully I’ll find out

Forgot about this thread, in February we got one 25. Have reduced holding down to 10K each, so not the best return. Hoping for better in

Hi @Guardsman if you buy bonds today the first draw they will be eligible will be 1st March. They have to be in for a full calender month, unless it’s a reinvested prize, they are eligible for the next draw.

Draw takes place a few days before the end of the month so probably tomorrow but winners not announced until a day or so later, unless you win the million and it’s the first working day of the month.

1st April not March!

You have the option to receive a prize, it can be straight into your bank, or via cheque. Or you can reinvest it which is what I do. It’s all online and you click on your preferred option, I sound as though I work for them, I don’t I’m just also optimistic even though according to the stats calculator, 79% of people are luckier than me ..

I get excited when envelope comes through door

Tho once I did use the checker app abs ruined the fun of it for me as told me I won £25

So when white envelope appeared I knew what it contained

Won 2 x £25 last month
