busybusymum · 13/11/2006 12:00

Personally I prefer the hamster type threads far more interesting.

Gingerbear · 13/11/2006 12:00

Not telling!

IdrisTheDragon · 13/11/2006 12:01

You forgot the final question - whether you went to a private school or not .

NAB3 · 13/11/2006 12:01

Gingerbear · 13/11/2006 12:03

Oh, OK then:

  1. Nothing
  2. £1000 per year selling recycled toilet paper
  3. Just ours or the whole communes?
  4. We live in an organic, eco-friendly, self sustainable forest commune, and grow all our own veg.
TheDivineLiliLaTigresse · 13/11/2006 12:03

neither of us needs to work as we both have trust funds from which we get £50,000 a month
we live in a big castle and have several posh places overseas
we are
both gorgeous looking and off the scale IQ wise
obviously

sandcastles · 13/11/2006 12:03

and you want to know why exactly????

NomDePlume · 13/11/2006 12:04

Fascinated as to what the 'comparison' may involve and result in....

UnquietDad · 13/11/2006 12:06

This is the kind of thing everyone avoids talking about, even with their closest friends. To be honest it's the LAST thing I'd ever discuss even with people I have known for 20 years - I'd talk about my & DW's sex life in front of them before I'd reveal how much/little we have in the bank. The problem is that what seems like a lot ot some will seem paltry to others, and vice-versa.

I remember there was a thread on here before I joined properly (when I was scared and still lurking) about £70,000 not being much of a household income. I found myself wondering what planet these people lived on who could say that.

SantaGotStuckUpTheGreensleeve · 13/11/2006 12:07

  1. Worth millions, I sing a little, model sometimes and from time to time glance at the kids
  2. David earns more than I do, he plays a little football now and again, and appears on a little telly.. very boring.
  3. 3 boys, trying for a little princess
  4. Anything else.. you'll have to clarify I am afraid..

Oh and the weather is glorious here in Spain today...

lulumama · 13/11/2006 12:09

Jamey

i would not in a million years share personal financial information with anyone...least of all on the internet.

for one...money is a big flash-point and assumptions will be made and judgments inferred from the size (or not) of salary.....

for two..it is no-one;s business!

i would rather people judge me- and they will judge me on here...such is human nature..on what i post and how i conduct myself...not how much money ( or not ) is earnt...

if you want to see how you compare to your fellow mnetters....look at the survey results....they were on here a while ago....

hamstermunker · 13/11/2006 12:10

DH earns £1 million a month. He is an evil dictator who lives in space. We have joint custody of the children (I'm a divorcee) and he pays for the rocket fuel for them to visit him (luckily - I am a SAHM who knits lentils to sell somewhat unsuccessfully on ebay).

Quootiepie · 13/11/2006 12:11

its odd how people are so cagey about financial information... I wouldnt mind telling anyone about mine to be honest.

Nemo1977 · 13/11/2006 12:12

OH FFS
I am a sahm so earn F all..DH works all the hours but surprise surprise earns not a lot..we have 2 young children and am 7mths pg have a ok mortgage and am grateful in the current climate just to own my house!!!

Chandra · 13/11/2006 12:12

Should we include our bank details, date of birth, and the original surname of our mothers ?
