car insurance for teenagers

We are about to insure DS2 to drive my car (Corsa). He's learning at the moment, hoping to take his test in the summer (he's 18). We insured DS1
with Tesco 4 years ago. I know it'll be expensive whoever we go with, but has anyone had any "reasonable" deals lately?

I'd repost this in teenagers if I were you, it crops up all the time!

I insured DS for theh first year with iKube, as the premium didn't go up when he passed his test. His car was fitted with a spybox. Paid £1300 iirc for his Corsa.

The next year went with Admiral for £666.

The best option for car insurance for teenager is to get a black box fitted. The insurance is with Aviva.

We have never opted for a black box option with our two DSs, partly because there was a case recently near here where two teens lost their life in a late night accident.

It appeared that they were racing to get home from a night out before their black box 'curfew' kicked in.
