Have u got anything from Christmas that's unopened or a book in the shelf that is unread or even some sweets? A made card would be brilliant, even just say you forgot the present can u bring next week and go to the pound shop Smile

Really glad for you that it's only 2 days - did you not ask for a referral to the food bank?

working3jobs · 08/01/2014 21:41

wow, you are doing so well. you seem a very good mum!
sorry things been a bit crap for you both,
what food have you left now?
with milk, keep the empty bottle, next time you buy some, get full fat, then mix it with with same amount of cold water-this makes semi skimmed for half price. obviously, i'm not sure if your little boy still has full fat, you'd need to take his out first.
do you have an aldi nearby? they do penne pasta for 29p a bag9 probably at least four meals each for you and little one),and passata 29p,could put grated cheese on top. filling and nutritious.
when are you back at work?
don't be hard on yourself, you have been really productive in the last weeks, give yourself a break :)

mumof01 · 08/01/2014 23:32

hi no i couldnt bring myself to it was only for me anyway i made sure that ds was fed and watered aslong as he was fed thats all that mattered to me .

Thankyou working3jobs not felt like it lately but things are getting better
i have enough in for ds breakfast and tea tommorow and hes got toast for his supper with jam on he doesnt usually have it but its there if hes peckish .he has he same as me semi skimmed thats a really good idea didnt no you could do that .
yes theres 2 in my town so im going to do a shop there on friday when ds is at school .im back to work monday was meant to be tuesday but they asked could i go back monday which is fine by me ,

thanks everyone xx

How are things now? It would be worth you working out what are the cheapest nutritious meals that you and ds both like and then plan your meals for the month?

How is it going with getting the debts managed and therefore payments reduced? If we can support you virtually please let us know! You are doing a great job, you've got your head out of the sand and looking at longer term solutions which can be harder on your own when you've got no-one to moan at about not being able to buy even an extra bar of chocolate or cheap bottle of wine.

Hi, Are you getting your 25% reduction from your council tax, that you are entitled to as a single person? X
