go to the CAB. They will be able to go through your circumstances and help you. They may even talk to IS on your behalf. You said they've stopped your IS, there must be a reason for this.

If you have no food for your children, this is a crisis and you need help. From the CAB.

People on here can and will help you with advice and information. It would be most unwise of people on the net to read a story and start offering cash. Far better to point you in the direction of rl assistance.

If what you are saying is that you have not one single scrap of food in the house to feed your children tonight and they are hungry, then I sincerely and in no way sarcastically - I promise you - advise you to contact social services and ask for emergency help.

Otherwise, get yourself down to the CAB tomorrow and ask for help.

Voidka · 19/04/2012 16:55

What food do you have OP?

Voidka · 19/04/2012 16:56

And why has your IS been stopped?

youarekidding · 19/04/2012 16:58

Becky - where are you? There's people here offering you practical advice. If you really want help come and read and respond to it.

faintpinkline · 19/04/2012 18:07

Where in Birmingham are you? May be able to help with some bits of food but can't give you money at the moment. Are you getting all your benefits? if you contact your local councillor they will be able to get a review officer to check you're getting everything you're entitled to

Why do you need a loan is it for something specific? Have you tried free cycle? Can you tell us what it is you actually need someone may be able to help - you'd be amazed what people have stored away.

No one is going to just hand out money though OP - sorry.

faintpinkline · 22/04/2012 16:58

Assume OP has either sorted it out elsewhere or wasn't as desperate to feed and clothe the DCs as she said

Nice try but even if you have been overpaid on benefits, the DWP will arrange repayments - they won't leave you with nothing. I hope no-one falls for this

FunionShmings · 13/09/2016 23:57

Zombie thread from 2012!

And it looks like just about all of the bumpers were scammers advertising their dodgy expensive loans.
