Anyone had 2 miscarriages and gone on to have a successful pregnancy?

Hi I’m so sorry for all my posts. Has anyone had 2 miscarriages then gone onto a healthy pregnancy? We feel in that horrible stage where we feel like we are trying again purely to meet the threshold of 3 miscarriages to have a referral to recurrent miscarriage service.
could the 2 just be bad luck and we could go onto have a healthy pregnancy.
we have a 2.5 year old x

Yes, my mum! Two miscarriages and went on to have me ☺️

It can absolutely happen x

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 18/05/2025 00:33

Yes, my third pregnancy was my first successful one.

Gettoachiro · 18/05/2025 00:36

Yup we were finally lucky after two miscarriages.

HundredPercentUnsure · 18/05/2025 00:38

Yes I did. MC1 DC1 MC2 MC3 DC2.

I also had chemical pregnancies in between as well but still didn't meet the threshold for recurring miscarriage.

I had very emotional chats with GP and pushed hard for progesterone which they rapidly prescribed when bleeding started about 4.5w pregnant with DC2. I'm convinced that was why I didn't MC a fourth time and sustained a healthy pregnancy.

All my MC were spontaneous.

Sorry for your losses

Yes. 2 missed miscarriages detected at 12 week scans then 2 healthy pregnancies. Probably just bad luck.

Yup we were finally lucky after two miscarriages.

Sister 3 early & one at 16 weeks - a kidney issue. Two before no1 and 2 between no 2. Lots of test nothing ever identified as the cause, although she had to have a daily injection when pregnant with no.2.

Argonautica · 18/05/2025 00:41

Yes. My kids are teenagers now.
Following miscarriages and difficulties conceiving I had clomifene and got pregnant on the first round and then accidentally got pregnant soon after giving birth to the first baby 👶 thought I had fertility issues do wasn’t careful after baby number one

TiredShamrock · 18/05/2025 00:42

Me too lovely. Had 2 miscarriages after my first baby and then went on to have two more healthy pregnancies.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this x

Shitstix · 18/05/2025 00:47

I did. 2 mc between dc1 and dc2.

Because of my age (37) I was referred for recurrent mc. Didn't need to go through the investigations as I was pregnant at our 1st consultation and it was dc2.

Wynter25 · 18/05/2025 01:10

Yes I had a MMC then a chemical and then had my son

Blackbirdflyintothelight · 18/05/2025 01:24

I had two miscarriages and then an ectopic pregnancy and I'm currently cuddling my rainbow baby to sleep (well he's nearly 3 now so now much of a baby anymore but try telling him that!). It absolutely can happen. I've got very close friends who've also had 3 or more losses and have had a rainbow baby. Don't give up hope.

ThomasShelbysfagend · 18/05/2025 02:05

Yes. 2 mcs then successful pregnancy.

PumpkinLuv · 18/05/2025 03:42

Sorry for you losses.

I had have MC1 MC2 beautiful daughter #1. MC3 MC4 MC5 beautiful daughter #2!

Although each pregnancy was scary due to fear of miscarrying again, I tried to stay positive as constant worry wouldn’t do the baby any good.

Good luck, I am sure your rainbow baby will come soon! 🥰 🌈

Superscientist · 22/05/2025 09:27

I have a 4yo and started trying for number 2 in April last year. I had two miscarriages in August and December but am now 21 weeks pregnant conceiving straight after my last miscarriage!

DefinitelyMaybe92 · 22/05/2025 09:32

Firstly, I’ve been there and so sorry you’re going through this. Yes - 1 MMC, then nothing for a year, then 1 early spontaneous almost a year after the first MC, followed by a successful sticky conception 9 months after that. We had actually started testing via the NHS after the second MC but all was showing normal. Sadly, they do say sometimes it can be nothing but bad luck causing them.

WelshBookWitch · 22/05/2025 09:43

Yes I did. DD1, MC1(8 weeks), MC2 (6 weeks), DD2, MC3 (6 weeks), DD3.

CatsWhiskerz · 22/05/2025 10:29

I sadly had multiple miscarriages, chemical pregnancies, positive tests only to start period a few days after. I do have two children now. I had support from the miscarriage expert obstetrician with aspirin, high conc folic acid, scans regularly til I was in second trimester. I also used agnus castus (drops in water ) until I fell pregnant after a few failed attempts and a bit of research on my issues
Good luck

beewales · 22/05/2025 10:49

Yes I had 2 missed miscarriages. One at 16 weeks (issue identified at 12 week scan) and then another at 11 weeks. Told it was just bad luck. 3rd time all went well and had my son, closely followed by my daughter. When I was in it, I never believed I’d have a successful pregnancy, it was all consuming and such a sad time but it did all work out. I really hope the same happens for you 💕

DCmum95 · 22/05/2025 21:00

These messages are so reassuring thank you. It all just feels so agonisingly unknown at the minute and felt like everywhere I read was about referrals to miscarriages clinics or private treatment etc and just feel like a baby won’t happen for us. Thank you for these messages they’ve given me hope. Xx

I had 17 pregnancies. I have 3 D.C. . After all investigations my medical records state “unlucky.”

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 25/05/2025 12:35

I had 15 pregnancies in total, but had 4 live babies.

No reason was ever found.

I hope you have a successful pregnancy soon @DCmum95

Yes, I did, too.

My first was a 14 week blighted ovum, and the second was a 6 week ectopic.

But the third pregnancy was my first DD.

There's always hope. But I remember feeling utterly broken and defeated after the second loss.

Bossmumoffour · 17/10/2025 23:25

Im really hoping so because we have 2 teens aged 17 and 14 and in the last 10 months we bave lost two beautiful babies both missed misscarrages pip was march and we were meant to be 8 weeks but was only measuring 6 and bean was oct was meant to be 8 weeks 3 days and we were measuring 5 weeks 6 days babies heart had stopped, were so lost, angry and scared to try again incase xxx

AutumnAllTheWay · 17/10/2025 23:53

Yes.

2 mmcs here, and then 3 successful pregnancies

When i was frantically researching after loss no2, I read odds are still on your side it was bad luck (sorry, im too tired to think of a more tactful way of saying it)having 2 miscarriages than a sign of something wrong
