Fitness tracker stats pregnancy

Hello everyone,

Is anyone using a fitness tracker of any kind? If so have you noticed anything different when you were pregnant?

The one I’m using shows for example heart rate variability and heart rate. When I got pregnant the last time I knew it before having a positive test because of my increase in hr and decrease in hrv. Overanalysing and tracking everything is a double edged sword though; I had a suspicion I had lost the pregnancy a week before the bleeding started as well ( my stats went back to normal), it could’ve meant nothing as I’ve seen posts about people’s stats going back to normal around the 6-8 week mark and it was nothing wrong with the pregnancy. I’m in two minds whether I should continue using it, it may just mess with my head and cause unnecessary stress. I’m already interpreting and analysing everything as it is.

If you’ve had a loss before and got an indication from the fitness tracker, would you continue to wear it while ttc again?

@Travellingislife I'll have to have a read. That sounds like a good attitude to have 😊

@Travellingislife How did your scan go?

Travellingislife · 03/04/2023 12:06

@HoneyPea the 8 week scan looked good! 3 weeks until the next one when I’ll do a NIP test. Hopefully I’ll still be pregnant then, I don’t dare to fully believe it’ll all go well..

@Travellingislife so glad the scan was good 🥰 I know how you feel, I still don't believe it's going to happen (17weeks now!)

HoneyPea · 09/05/2023 12:57

@Travellingislife Have you had your NIPT? If you have I hope everything was ok 😊

Travellingislife · 09/05/2023 14:37

@HoneyPea hey! I have and everything looked good thankfully! 14 weeks now and counting down to the anomaly scan, I feel like I can’t fully relax until I’ve got the results from that 🙄
My hr is high and my hrv low like it usually is in pregnancy but I’ve started feeling more human now so I can train quite well.
How are you doing?

@Travellingislife so glad everything is looking good. All good here, 22wks with another boy 🩵 which my son is very, very pleased about 😊 My RHR has been fluctuating between 76-79 (mostly 78/79) for the last 6weeks so not a big change. I have been feeling him kick every day from around 15wks which has helped put my mind at ease. Starting to get a bit of PGP pain but luckily haven't had to resort to the crutches like I did last time 🤞🏻 it stays that way!

HoneyPea · 22/06/2023 10:22

@Travellingislife How are you getting on?

Travellingislife · 22/06/2023 10:26

@HoneyPea I just had my 20 week scan and it’s all looking good! I feel great now, no sickness and my energy has come back. I’m enjoying it while it lasts lol. I’ve started feeling faint movements I think, I’ve got an anterior placenta again so it can take a few more weeks before I start to feel it properly.
How are you feeling?

@Travellingislife Sorry didn't get a notification. Hope your still doing ok. I'm just over 33wks and have a date to meet the little guy 😬

Travellingislife · 07/08/2023 06:22

@HoneyPea Exciting you’ve got a date! I’m hoping for a vbac and so far it looks promising.
I’m 27 weeks and my rhr has jumped about 20 bpm and my hrv has halved, I definitely feel it. I’ll see my midwife this week so will ask her about my rhr, it seems very high for me!

@HoneyPea How are you doing? You might’ve given birth already!

I’m 31 weeks and I’ve felt heavy and tired the last couple of days, I hope it won’t last.
Whoop ( the fitness tracker company I use) conducted a study of hundreds of pregnant women, it showed that about 7 weeks before giving birth the hrv and rhr trends improved significantly. I’m waiting to see if it’ll happen to me.
Have you noticed anything like that?

@Travellingislife Hi I actually gave birth over 3 weeks ago at just over 36 weeks. It was little man's due date 2 days ago and we will be celebrating him being with us 4weeks tomorrow!!

No, didn't see much of an improvement pre birth, but you can deff see when I had him 😂
