Has anyone had a D&C without anaesthesia?

After having my 12 week scan I was informed that my baby has no heartbeat (no bleeding or other signs of anything wrong). I have now been told that procedures have changed because of Covid19 and the D&C ops are being performed without a general anaesthetic. Has anyone experienced this before? I'm a little concerned.

Hi there, I'm so sorry you're going through this shit time. I went through it very recently and have attached my post for you to have a look.
The procedure is called an mva (manual vacuum aspiration) and there are a few posts from these lovely ladies about it.

I hope it all goes well for you. For me It was the right option and nearly a week later, bleeding has almost stopped and I've had no pain.
Good luck and take care of yourself. Xx

@Picklebump I'm in the exact same situation as you.... 12 week scan and my baby has vanished. Seen in an early scan with a heartbeat but now it's gone!

I know need to consider my options and I'm thinking of researching MVA, as waiting for this to happen Nat could take a while!

P.s this is my second loss this year, although my first had bleeding and was over very quickly.

Take care of yourself. X
