I am currently going through my 1st miscarriage and this was my 1st pregnancy. Currently having a medium flow with hardly any cramping.

  1. What was your miscarriage like? Should I expect cramping and heavier flow?

Also, looking into the future I do want to try again straight away, we really really want a baby and are seeing this as ‘not meant to be’ as heartbreaking as it is. Thinking about trying again scares me though.

So, 2. How soon after your miscarriage did you conceive and was it a successful pregnancy?

When I realised I was having a miscarriage, I was distraught, and coming to this website has made me realise how common it actually is and I really do think it should be spoken about more in day to day life.

please everyone tell me your stories, I want to hear them all. It will really help me get through this and feel like I’m not on my own

Thank you. ❤️

A pp reminded me, we have large shrubs in pots that flower at the time we lost our two little ones. Just a little private reminder for us that I find helpful.

Do you know your blood group op? I mc my first pregnancy (and had a d&c) and needed Anti D jabs as I am rhesus negative..
I got pregnant on my second month with dd. And had many dc after her..

Nannon145 · 12/05/2020 20:17

@Windyatthebeach my blood type is O-. I've read that if you have a natural miscarriage before 12 weeks then you do not need anti D jabs but thank you for the info.
So glad to hear about your successful pregnancies.

I spoke to my friend today and opened up to her, it had made me feel a lot better being able to speak to someone else other than my partner. I would recommend anyone going through the same thing to do the same if you can ❤️

So 2 weeks ago, I had 2 days of brown spotting then 3 days of light bleeding which stopped up until Sunday with the occasional brown spotting. Sunday I started heavy red bleeding through to Tuesday. Today I've had hardly anything.

Is this normal??

Had my first miscarriage at 10 weeks in January 2020 after first Ivf round. It took six weeks to miscarry from the day I found out there was no heartbeat to the day of my surgery. Got pregnant in April but now in the middle of a second miscarriage. It feels so unfair x

Nannon145 · 13/05/2020 22:02

@Pineapples1980 I'm so sorry to hear about that. I really hope you get your rainbow baby soon. Always here if you need to talk x

Had a very very very very very very faint line on a FRER this morning. Am I right in thinking that over the next few days this will disappear? There is no chance that this will ever get darker?

I'm only asking because I don't really want to waste another pregnancy test to see it be negative but then if I am fortunate to get pregnant straight away, I want to be certain that it is a new pregnancy so there is no way a pregnancy test can get darker after a miscarriage unless you are pregnant again??? Hope this makes sense

Just came across your post and I'm in the same position, was 6 weeks and started miscarrying yesterday. Started off as light spotting and has turned into a period type of bleed with clotting.
We're keen to start trying again as soon as we can and feel that this bean wasn't meant to be at this moment. Hope you are getting through it ok! xx

babysnowman · 21/05/2020 09:50

How are you doing today OP?X

Spottybun · 22/05/2020 15:32

Hi, I’ve just come across your post today. I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks at the start of October last year so almost 8 months ago now.. my due date should of been this coming Tuesday.
We haven’t conceived again yet although not through lack of trying, my body is still not back to ‘regular’ so we never know when I’m going to ovulate. Currently I’m on day 24 of my 5th cycle and the others have all been varied lengths of 65, 45, 62 & 41 days.
I know not the hope you’re probably looking for but I haven’t been able to find any other posts with people in a similar situation and it’s made me feel worse over these months so incase you don’t spring back as quickly either you aren’t alone. Pre pregnancy my cycles were 28 days on the dot so I really wasn’t expecting it to take this long to recover.

If you don’t track BBT already I’d really recommend trying it, i use natural cycles but there are free trackers too.. as your temperature is higher in pregnancy & post ovulation you wouldn’t need to take pregnancy tests when you aren’t sure as the dips in temperature would tell you. X

Nannon145 · 25/05/2020 20:24

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven’t messaged, took a while for me to just get back to my self. I stepped away from all of these sites and the apps. I am not CD15, I had a positive ovulation test yesterday so I reckon I’ll ovulate at some point today or tomorrow. It’s a few days earlier than I usually would but I’m taking it as a good sign that I got a positive ovulation test.

I’m doing good now, just trying to stay positive and praying that I get a sticky baby this cycle 🤞🏻 I always said from the beginning I thought May would be my cycle but then obviously ended up conceiving in April and unfortunately miscarrying at the beginning of May.

@Roastn @babysnowman @Spottybun how are you all? X

Keeping everything crossed for you. I know how hard it is living week to week, month to month like this but you will get there xx

Spottybun · 26/05/2020 10:37

@Nannon145 that’s positive news, fingers crossed for you that it is ovulation! 🤞🏻

Today’s a tough day for us mentally as it should of been our due date so just trying to stay busy with work to keep my mind off.
I think i also ovulated yesterday as my temperature spiked this morning... which would make 2 cycles in a row ovulating on CD28 which is finally a step in the right direction! Even if we don’t conceive this month I’m taking that as a small win after all the irregularities. X

Nannon145 · 26/05/2020 11:36

@Spottybun hope you're okay, definitely take that as a positive but fingers crossed this is your month! X

I had a miscarriage in Oct 2018 and another in May 2019, both quite early ones. I get really bad period pain and it was a bit worse than a normal 'bad' period both times. I have PCOS and my body seemed to be very anti getting and staying pregnant. I'm now 32 weeks pregnant with my rainbow baby, after waiting for her for what feels like an eternity 💕

Nannon145 · 26/05/2020 11:48

@EnglishRain congratulations, what lovely news 🥰🥰

Glad to hear you are doing well @Nannon145! Similar situation to you, some of the sites for miscarriages I find overwhelming. Myself and my husband are trying to look at the positive in that we managed to get pregnant. Hoping when the next bean comes along they hang around for a lot longer :) xx

sle0911 · 27/05/2020 09:47

Hi! I don't have a story to tell as I'm going through this now too Sad found out I was pregnant last week and started spotting on Monday which turned into a proper miscarriage yesterday, I'm hoping to start trying again straight away, lovely to hear some positive stories and that it can happen really quickly afterwards x

Littlebee1990 · 01/07/2020 20:54

Hey, so glad I found this thread As the stories have made me feel so much better. TTC our first bubba.. cycle 3 and got 3 BFP last week and started bleeding heavy yesterday and it’s been confirmed as a chemical pregnancy.. heartbroken. Hope everyone is ok x

Eboney7 · 24/07/2020 13:13

Hey everyone, just thought I would share my story too .. as I am typing I am sitting here in pain as I have just had miscarriage this morning exactly 5 weeks 3 days ..Started with brown spotting and cramps, it is horrible feeling, the pains I am getting is like a labor and bleeding little bit heavier than period and little tiny clots.. so heart breaking!
Ladies just keep your heads up I am pretty sure we will all get out rainbow babies sooner or later, praying for all of us lots of baby dust xx
Love from Australia xx

RainbowsAndRain · 26/07/2020 11:01

@Eboney7

Sorry to hear about what you're going through, I think I'm going to wait a few months to recover and as its my third mc I'll be getting a referral to recurrent miscarriages for testing so I'll see how that goes.

Hope ttc again goes well for you and we get our rainbow babies soon xx

Eboney7 · 26/07/2020 12:46

@RainbowsAndRain no rush love do it when you are ready mentally and physically..
My sister in law had 5 mc in a row and she finally had little girl in 2016 and a little boy in February 2020 , you just never know just keep the positive vibe as my sister in-law give up and thought she will never have kids to now have two babies with no issues..
Lots of baby dust my dear..also I was told to watch my diet not sure what is your diet but I hear more carbs the better in your system xx
