Advice please - for miscarriage

I had my first scan today at 13 weeks and found out that the baby had no heart beat, too small and that I will be miscarrying. I also started bleeding today.

They gave me three options and I said I'd come back in a week for another scan. Now I wish I had asked whether I could have an ERPC straight away as it's likely that I will miscarry in the next few days if this bleeding continues and cramps start.

How quickly can they do the ERPC does anyone know?

It will make me feel better if I know they couldn't have done it straight away in any case. I'm worried about the reality of a natural miscarriage.

Glad your procedure all went to plan purple, even though it's horrible that you even had to have it. Have you got some recovery time now?

At least you have a date sovery, being off work until then allows it to happen naturally but if not it will be over by Monday. I was fine outwardly until I had to say it out loud to. Snotty crying all over my director but luckily she was lovely. Don't worry about crying on the phone, I am sure they understood and you aren't the first.

Take it easy on yourself for the next few days. Come back here to talk if you need to.

Thanks Dulcet.

Purple I'll be here if you want to come back to chat.

Yes I'm ok, well I look fine to others, until I have to say it. Then I can't stop it. Glad I'm not the only one that has this reaction.

Sorry to be reading this thread. I had my op 2 weeks ago tomorrow. I too was extremely worried about the GA but it was fine, after I felt very relaxed then just tired for the next few days.

My miscarriage started naturally and it was horrible! Worse than what I expected I passed the sac then the bleeding stopped. Went for my check up scan and I had some remaining tissue to had to have the op. Since then i bled lightly it not a lot and have had no pain. If I had the choice i would have wanted the op straight away as naturally it was the worst thing I have been through!

Here if you want to talk xx

If you need some more support and understanding have a look at this thread. It really helped me when I went through my mmc...

Hi Megan. I wish I had booked the ERPC for tomorrow now. If I had said on Tuesday when I found out there probably was a chance I could have.

I've got to wait until Monday now, I'm still bleeding, no cramps yet, but not sure what is coming next.

Thanks Adventuregame will take a look.

Hi Purple that's so kind thank you.

I had a lot of bleeding over the weekend so I went to EPU this morning for a scan. The sac had passed so they cancelled the ERPC. I'm glad that was the case as I was so nervous. I've been reading the other thread so will come over and share what it's like.
