Dumbledoresgirl · 17/12/2011 21:40

Sorry to read this Carrie. Another one here who lost a twin, though mine was at 9.5 weeks, before I even knew I was carrying 2. I did bleed a bit - red blood initially, and then, a few days after the situation was confirmed, a huge amount of brown blood. It wasn't nice, but I had been forewarned that it might happen, and that helped a lot. So I thought I would post my experience in case it helps you prepare for what might happen.
Happily twin 2 was fine, now 8 years old. Wishing you as much peace as is possible at this sad time. Take care of yourself and the second baby.

I really feel for you, I miscarried a few years ago and it was just awful.

Brace yourself for people saying insensitive things (not on here).

RueDeWakening · 17/12/2011 23:00

I'm sorry for your loss Carrie. Remember that there's no "right" way to feel right now, just go easy on yourself.

I posted on a previous thread of yours about my triplet pregnancy, I lost 2 of them to TTTS at about 25 weeks. They (all 3) were born at just over 31 weeks, and our survivor is a healthy nearly-2-year-old now. But those weeks of being pregnant but knowing we'd lost 2 of them were the toughest of my life. I saw a specialist midwife counsellor through my local hospital, who was helpful. I saw her on and off until DS was about 6 months old, too.
