To have pesseries to open my cervix so it opens and expels whats left of the miscarraige i had.

Had a scan today and it showed that there is still 'products of conception' that hasn't come away. Apparently it's not enough to warrant a D&C, and i have the option of waiting three weeks to see if it comes away on it's own.

I feel i can't do that. I need to know that it's all over and done with.

I've to be there in the morning, and it'll take about six hours they said.

Has anyone else had this done? And how was it for you?

Hi Dee,
I found out yesterday that my baby stopped growing at around 8 weeksthree weeks ago. My bodys same as yourshas no real clue what's going on, which makes me angry at it. I'm booked for an ERPC on Friday.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I think (if I remember rightly?) we were both due in November? I have been and will be thinking of you x

Dee i hope the d&c go's ok. It is rubbish that you have had to go down all the different routes and its been dragged out so long.
LWW - hope your procedure is ok on friday.
Hugs to both of you.
I am in a similar boat - was due in November so i am just short of 11 weeks but baby stopped growing at 8.5 weeks. I also feel that my body has let me down, i am still eating as if i were pregnant and totally zonked constantly. V unfair.
I have my procedure booked in for tomorrow and i am quite literally bricking it. This is my second mc this year but my first one happened naturally (hate that as its not really very natural). I am not a massive fan of hospitals etc either. The midwives on the eraly pregnancy unit have been ace though and very reassuring.

Good luck to you Jemima, and thanks. My first mc was in Jan and I was about 5 weeks pg and it all just happened. This time I've had a week of spotting only to have the scan to prove the baby just stopped growing Sad
All the health care professionals I've seen and dealt with so far have been brilliant, truly the stars of the nhs. Well, apart from the gyno who was caring, but a bit thick if that makes sense. He gave his opinion that although we've had an mc and an mmc after a healthy baby we should "get back home and get to it" to make another one and "it'll most likely be fine" Hmm
Yeah, thanks mate. Thats just what we're thinking about now.
Still, I suppose he meant well.

Will be thinking of you Jemima. It's just horrid, isn't it?
