Hi all.
I started a new job at a scale-up and demographically, menopause isn't a topic in policies, initiatives etc. and my private health care excludes anything related to menopause. The most recent companies I worked at had specific policies and initiatives related to menopause. That includes one that got menopause friendly accreditation... as gimmicky as these things can be, it did lead to a proper policy and manager training, and a view to improve private health care coverage. I was closely involved in making language clear in all comms and policy... if you know what I mean! 😉
Its a topic for me! I am disappointed that my private healthcare excludes everything related to menopause because I want to see a specialist menopause consultant. Its also starting to impact a lot of things in my life.
What, if anything, is your workplace doing re menopause in your healthcare coverage and making sure that the company can accommodate needs for women at work?
Given my age vs the rest of the workforce, I'm not inclined to push for things right now on a policy or healthcare front, but I am curious about what others are seeing and experiencing at work?
