Hi
About 5 weeks ago, I posted this and you were so lovely, supportive and helpful.

https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/menopause/5371295-bleeding-after-16-years

I’ve used the cream as instructed for the last four weeks and thought that would be it but woke up with cramps and spotting. Again.

Gynaecologist said my lining was 3.8, no sign of cancer anywhere and everything was good apart from Vaginal atrophy, hence the cream. Had an internal ultrasound and full check.

So, why have I restarted my periods after 16 years if there is nothing suspicious going on?

Should I go back to the GP, or is it just one of those things? I have had a lot of stress, husband died last year and I moved house a week ago. Could that be the cause?

Thank you.

Bleeding after 16 years | Mumsnet

Just that really. Had the menopause 16 years ago, no issues since. At the weekend, I had some mild cramping and a bit of spotting for a couple of days...

I would go again and ask them so they can manage expectations. It sounds like they weren't clear on whether or not bleeding can happen spontaneously and still be normal, so now you're unsure, and I would be, too.

Once they tell you, then I think you can expect for it to happen and not be worried.

Think you need some closure and reassurance.
