Groin sweats?

MaverickGooseGoose · 15/02/2023 18:44

Is this a peri thing? I've suddenly started really swearing in my groin, along my knicker line. At least I think it's sweat, not wee but by the end of the day or first think in the morning my knickers are wet. It horrid, makes me itch and makes the skin sore.

Im a bit overweight but no more overweight than I've been for the last ten years and this has started suddenly.

Me too! It gets so sore sometimes I have to use sudocreme. Definitely worse in wArm weather.

helleborus · 15/02/2023 19:01

And me, yet another of the joys of peri 🙁

Anotheanon · 15/02/2023 19:04

Isn’t it fun!!

marly24 · 15/02/2023 19:37

I've had it for years since peri menopause. Much much worse when I am working and have to speak in public or run meetings. I feel very unclean as a result and I hate that. I've tried a kind of talcum powder that's meant to stop sweating hut that didn't make much differences. Now wear period knickers for such days in work, but honestly I'm not sure if this makes it worse. At least they absorb it and I don't end up with slightly damp trousers. Now I'm on higher doses of hrt plus testosterone it's slightly better but it still makes me feel horrible in that area of my body. All the gp suggested was low dose beta blockers which made no difference at all. I think you can have Botox injections for it but I haven't investigated further.

Vagisil powder is what you need.

Scutterbug · 15/02/2023 22:06

Me too, thought I was the only one!

MaverickGooseGoose · 16/02/2023 07:54

Urgh, although glad to hear it's not just me. Off to get vagisil powder!

Ugh, I have this too. All very new to me. Kind of relieved I'm not the only one.

SoLongFurlough · 19/02/2023 19:34

Came on to ask for recommmendations for products for this very thing
Ive been using liners but can’t decide if they’re a good idea or not & the itching seems to get worse at night - it’s driving me mad!

bagelbagelbagel · 19/02/2023 19:52

I have this and now wear period pants every day - so much better!

@bagelbagelbagel any brands you’d recommend? I’ve been looking at sweat wicking ones from modibodi but they’re £££

bagelbagelbagel · 19/02/2023 20:36

I have all Modi Bodi, cost me £200ish but worth it for peace of mind. I don't feel damp all day, no smell, it's such a game changer.

bagelbagelbagel · 19/02/2023 20:38

These are the ones I have

www.modibodi.co.uk/collections/pee/products/classic-full-brief-moderate-heavy

I occasionally leak wee too so they felt the right fit for the job. I'm so pleased with them, my sister and my best friend have got some too because they were having similar issues.

purpledalmation · 19/02/2023 20:58

Put antiperspirant deodorant along the creases.

Beautiful3 · 19/02/2023 21:01

Yes I do too!

Whosaidthattt · 20/02/2023 20:52

It's a nightmare! I'm fairly slim, size 10, age 54 and am now experiencing what i believe to be 'chub rub' in bed at night. My inner thighs sweating and rubbing. I didn't realise that it was a menopause symptom! I hate it! 😭

cocksstrideintheevening · 21/02/2023 17:28

I've gone hard core and driclored where my legs meet the groin. Stung like fuck but I will report back.

LizzieB44 · 22/02/2023 12:54

I have it often - usually at work during big meetings or when I have to deal with conflict between coworkers (I'm a manager), or when I'm very busy or running out of time. It got worse in the past year and I blamed perimenopause.

Greatly · 22/02/2023 12:55

Sudocreme on clean dry skin is very good for itchy folds!!

BusterGonad · 22/02/2023 13:02

When I lived in South East Asia I'd get a very sweaty undercarriage, I wore daily panty liners. The thin everyday ones. It really helpede feel clean. I often wondered if it was wee, but now I'm no longer in Asia my pants stay dry. So it most definitely won't be wee. What I have noticed since being in peri/menopause is that at night, in bed sleeping my breasts and neck get very sweaty and the t shirt I wear to bed is drenched all around the front of the neck. I hate it.

BusterGonad · 22/02/2023 13:05

By morning.

bagelbagelbagel · 22/02/2023 13:15

Get on the moisture wicking pants, ladies, it'll change your life

SoLongFurlough · 22/02/2023 18:33
